[Open] Morning Training! - February 16th

Time: 5am to 10am

Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

[Hades ignoring things like personal space is perfectly fine when the target is an ex-serial killer who also has difficulty with things like personal space (as well as not dripping blood everywhere, apologizing, knocking on doors, etc etc).

Sai had turned around the moment he noticed someone standing behind him then he had looked up and up until he saw the horns on Hades's head. His eyes had widened then and his mouth had almost immediately stretched into a smile as he reached up to touch the horns.]

[Hades had picked out the mortal whom he had followed on a whim, feeling like taking a chance with a new face from time to time would be right.

He was expecting many things when the boy sensed his presence and finally reacted to him, but having him try to touch him belonged to the less anticipated options.

He doesn't step back, but straightens and holds his head a bit higher, out of Sai's reach.]

[That's cheating, Hades. And Sai's face shows just how disappointed he is in your cheating. (Very, very disappointed.)]

Stingy. I just wanted to know if they were real.

[Rules are meant to be sidestepped or broken, little one. All except those that are his.

He gives him a look that is clearly 'not impressed'.]

[Especially not when you give him a look like that.]

[His expression turns amused at those words.]

[And now he's jumping to reach them. He refuses to be dissuaded by your height, Hades.]

[He steps pointedly back because, god or not, he is barefoot and Sai's jumping is a danger for his toes that is just waiting to happen.]

Why? [he sounds just a tad bit unnerved. Will you stop that?]

Because I want to know if they're real.

[Still jumping with no thought to Hades's toes but it's okay because Sai is also barefoot! Well, a bit better than if he was wearing shoes.]

[If you don't bend down now and let him touch your horns, he'll pull your hair, Hades. He really will.

Oh, too late. Sai grabs a handful of Hades's hair and pulls.]

[He makes a small displeased sound and scowls. What is this new trend with mortals and having no respect for his hair?]

They are as real as the hair you are pulling right now. Let go.

[He will respect your hair once you let him touch your horns.]

[He stares at him blankly. Had Hades still his powers, this would the point where the god either disintegrated into thin air or where Sai would have something very painful happen to him.

But since he doesn't have his powers anymore, he is kind of stumped at how to handle this situation.

Maybe Sai will go away if he ignores him?]

[Actually, ignoring him is a pretty good tactic. The less interesting you make it for him, the more likely he is to leave you alone. Or keep taunting you just to see if you really don't care or if you're just faking it.

To bad he's actually more interested in Hades's horns than Hades himself. He'll take Hades staring and not doing anything as a chance to reach out again and touch those horns of Hades'.]

[Alright, so ignoring does not work. Having his horns touched is strange, but does not feel awkward or anything to him. It's more strange in the sense like any physical contact with another living being is an unusual occurrence to Hades.

Depending on which horns Sai touches their surface is either smooth or chipped like old tree bark and they possess an odd sense of inner warmth. Hades still says nothing as he keeps watching his reactions in return.]

[Sai has difficulty understanding things like personal space, Hades. Sorry.

He runs his fingers over the horns, briefly annoyed that he can't have the bones of his arm stretch so he can reach better, but quickly forgetting as he marvels over the different textures and that strange sense of warmth coming from them.]

[After two minutes pass Hades huffs lightly under his breath and brushes Sai's hands away.]

That is enough.

[Sai lets his hands be brushed away, but doesn't step away, determined to milk this encounter for all it was worth.]

Why do you have horns? How do they grow like that? Do they grow naturally?

I don't know. If anything...


It might be because my appearance is a mirror that got frozen at an particular moment.

A...mirror? What are you? You aren't human?

I'm a god.

A god.

[Sai stares at Hades, and for a brief moment, his hand twitches almost out of habit before he closes his eyes.

What a waste.

Then he shrugs and smiles. He had no need to do this any longer.]

If this was before, I would have asked you to show me your insides.

[He doesn't miss the twitch. When Sai smiles at him he returns the gesture, a small glitter of curiosity playing in his eyes. It isn't yet enough as that Hades would consider himself interested, but at the same time it's a bit more than his usual assessment of a person being boring.

This.. could be a beginning of something.]

They would not be particularly interesting. A god's body is barely better than a decoy in most cases.

I've never seen a body being used as a decoy before. It would have been fun.

But~ [He turns so his back faces Hades, shaking his head. What a waste of something so interesting.]

I guess I'll just have to live with not knowing. If I kill people here I'd get in trouble.
