[Open] Morning Training! - February 16th

Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

[Returns his smile.] Oh, so you're Roy Mustang. And they must be the Watch. You were mentioned on the tour.

It's a pleasure, Sheena. Yeah, Shibusen makes it a point to mention us since we're always in need of help.

Nice to meet you, too, Roy. I can understand that, since I got the impression from the tour that a lot of people show up at one time.

It's gotta be hard protecting people from different cultures.

Yeah, it gets... interesting, for the lack of a better word. I try to keep my group as varied as possible, though, to show that we're not trying to oppress anyone. We just want to keep people safe, no matter who they are.

[Until they've proven that they really ARE enemies, in which case they'll go down hard, guns blazing.]

[Congratulations, Roy Mustang, her opinion of you just went up a lot.]

So, you don't care about a person's appearance or ancestry in either the Watch or the city?

[She's not sure why she's so surprised--considering how everyone's brought here. But it's still nice to know.]

I don't. I also don't think much about age or gender. [Looking at her seriously.] The only thing that matters to me is experience and the resolve to get the job done, and do what's right in as much as we can.

[Good thing he doesn't hold her gender against her--since it's so hard to hide.]

Neither do I. My Grandpa is pretty old, and he can still hold his own in a fight. And people tend to be surprised when that happens. [The look she gives him is just as serious.] I've got both experience and determination. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here right now.

[She looks away for a moment.]

And I'd like to be a part of it, Roy. I...was a protector on my world. I believe that people should be allowed to be who they are and live the way they want, without having to suffer so others can benefit.

[She turns back to him.]

That sounded kind of "preachy" didn't it?

What's say you get an application in with us as soon as possible?

[She looks at his hand a moment before taking it in what may be a surprisingly strong grip.]

[While they'd been talking, small leaves and twigs had fallen, and Sheena had picked one up and toyed with the tiny branches, eventually breaking it off. She's now studying it calmly.]

[Suddenly, the tiny branch goes flying, aiming straight for the top of his head right above his bangs. She had never said what she'd smack him with....]

[He is used to not getting any warning. As such, he's simply moving his head out of the way --

-- and moving in close, with a punch that stops just short of her gut.

[Sheena barely moves, but, oh look, there's a fist thisclose to his throat. She looks at him calmly a moment before smiling. His blow may be serious, and hers could be, but she drops her hand, willing to take the hit rather than hurt him.]

But like you, I didn't sit around, either, while my Grandpa taught me.

[She is a Ninja Chief....maybe she should have mentioned that...]
