Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

[Give her a second as she shifts to the lotus postion: it's the easiest way for her to slip into meditation. When she said she was new to transforming, she really did mean it.

But after a minute or two, she transforms into a simple handwrap, lying innocently on the ground.]

[Oh! Well, this is something new. Curiously, Amaterasu picks up the handwrap with her fangs, doing her best not to accidentally drool on it.]

[She can handle drool. It's not the worst thing to happen to her.

Though she is hoping she'll be dropped soon, and preferably stepped near with a paw. She should have enough control to wrap herself properly around it then.]

[Amaterasu's ears flick]

Oh!

[She's a little startled by that. No one told her that's possible!]

I didn't realize... Sorry. Though I was just wondering. Well, hoping.. That if you just put me on or near your foot, it would work better.

Haha, sorry for startling you. Everyone finds it strange to communicate with me this way. Still, I don't see why it's so surprising that a wolf has conscious thought.

[She grins]

Ah, near my paw? Sure, I can do that.

[Amaterasu sits and raises a paw close to her mouth instead of lowering Hinata, setting her over the top once its close enough]

Oh, no! It wasn't that... It was just--I've never really spoken to anyone like this before. So I was just...surprised.

[With one end of her form, she reaches out and wraps around the paw. It's a little adapted because she doesn't really have fingers, but still. After a few seconds, she's snug around her paw.]

Um, I... It's not too tight, is it?

Haha, everyone's a little shocked at this the first time too!

[Amaterasu watches as Hinata wraps around her paw, her head tilting in curiosity. Well, that's surprising. Most Weapons like this can't move on their own.]

Nope. That feels just fine.

It is rather different. But nice. It makes things a bit easier.

[It's actually something easier for her to do; something she's been doing for a long while. Just...not quite in this form.]

That's good. I am still a little unsure about what I can do exactly, but...I think it might have something to do with...protection.

Oh indeed. It takes some time to write out anything with that mirror.

[She sets her paw down slowly. Is this alright?]

Hm... we should attempt to strengthen our resonance and see what happens.

Writing takes time for anyone, usually.

[More than all right! Having weight put on her is kind of what she can stand in this form.]

I'm...not too sure how to go about doing that. So I will follow your lead, then.

[Well, there doesn't seem to be a disapproval.]

[Inside her, Ammy's soul smiles and shines a little more, radiating a little more strength and soothing wavelength]

All right.. I'll try.

[For a moment, Hinata just enjoys that feeling. That strength, that soothing feeling. She can't entirely help it.

But then she focuses again. This time trying to get her soul to do something similar, but only managing a soft, almost embarrassed, feeling of protection.]

[It's a smidgen; Amaterasu is definitely feeling something.]

That's it. Concentrate a little more.

[She does quite respond, giving more into projecting her soul. This time, more of her soul comes through. A gentle, almost bright, feeling backed by a stubborn will.]

Yes, that's it.

[Though, it feels somewhat forced. Hm... how to fix that?]

[A little more time as she becomes more comfortable. She's not used to being open and readable in such ways.]

Should I...try harder?

[motherofthesun]

Hm? Oh, no! This is fine for a first! You don't need to force yourself harder.

All right. I just...didn't know if I should or not.

When you've been on a few missions and defeated a few Kishins, you'll find yourself doing this much easier.

I'm sure...It's just going to be getting to this missions and that experience now.

Ah, maybe? It...would be nice to try, at least. But only if you would really like to.
