Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

[Oh, he hadn't been expecting that one.]

I know him! Then you must be--Mithos, right? I'm Emil. I'm from the same world you are, just...sometime in the future, I guess.

Mhm!

[ Mithos blinks before smiling sheepishly. ]

Y-Yeah. I'm Mithos. And you're Emil? [ He thought he recognized your voice ] And... you're also from the future... [ That is weird and confusing and strange and ahhhhhh ]

[Well, everyone else had to be from different times too. Emil's just always thought of them as "before his time."]

Oh, yeah. Yes, I'm Emil. I should be from your future, unless it's been a while since the worlds were regenerated for you too...?

[He's pretty sure they've gone over that already, but he can hope. It would be nice to have somebody from his time around.]

[ Mithos shakes his head ]

I... I come from before the worlds had been split in the beginning. Back when Tethe'alla and Sylvarant were one world. You can say I... come from the world long before it was regenerated.

[ This was really hard for Mithos to say. He wanted to believe that he finished his task of regenerating the tree in the 100 year time span but he... he can't. ]

From before it was...

[Well, alone that makes sense. Mostly. But doesn't Mithos know Kratos? And Colette knows Kratos too, right? Emil's never been the best student, but the temporal math seems just a little off there.]

Wait, but didn't you say Kratos was your mentor? I know somebody who knew him a few years ago, not that long before the world regeneration.

[willnotdespair]

[ There was a long pause before Mithos finally responds. So it seems he understands why it's seemingly impossible... ]

... Kratos, as well as my other two companions and I, obtained crystals that would allow us to live far longer than any average person could. We were... going to use the crystals so we can wait out the hundred years required for the seed to germinate.

[ A small pause. A hundred to four thousand. It was really hard to wrap his head around the idea. It doesn't help that because of this time gap it can only assume that using Derris-Kharlan to germinate the seed fails and they couldn't do anything for such a long time. ]

It isn't until 4000 years later when the seed germinates. At least... according to everyone I've met from the future.

The seed...of the new World Tree?

[Honestly, that news is hard to get his mind around and asking about the seed is the only thing he can think of to say without a risk of upsetting Mithos more - he doesn't want to do that. But four thousand years? Kratos and Mithos? Even the half-elves don't live that long.]

[ A small nod of the head ]

Yes. The plan was to use the comet Derris-Kharlan in order to germinate the seed when it circled the world during it's one-hundred year cycle.

Then...did something happen?

[Wait a minute.]

Oh, right, you wouldn't know. Sorry. I wonder what happened, though. I know the worlds were reunited two years ago, but I still don't know very much about how.

[willnotdespair]

[ Upon hearing the question Mithos simply glances off to the side. ]

Something had to have happened. I... wish I knew what.

[ He shakes his head before look back at Emil. ]

No. It's okay. [ Though... he wonders what happened himself. Hm... ] I'm... just happy to know that a new Tree does eventually take the Giant Kharlan Tree's place and the world reunites.

[Emil smiles.]

I wasn't involved in any of that, but I think I'm happy it happened. A lot's gone since then, but I would never have met some of my friends if the worlds were never reunited. Probably all of them.

[ Mithos nods his head ]

I'm... happy to hear that there are those who are glad for the world's unification. Even though it happens later than it should have I hope people feel the same way and that... there aren't too many problems.

Um, well...

[That sure is a can of worms.]

There are some problems, but we are trying to fix them right now.

[willnotdespair]

Ahh. Really? [ He's... not sure if he wants to know these problems. The future is confusing enough as is. ] I hope you do your best to fix the problems... I guess that there were bound to be some if the world had been separated for so long.

Yeah, a lot of things have changed since the worlds came back together. But we're getting there! I just wish I could understand some of the people who...don't want the same thing.

[He thinks. Everything would be so much easier if he understood why Lloyd was doing what he was, or Richter. It's confusing!]

[ A small smile ] That is... good to hear. [ That last comment though... turns that small smile into a small frown ] People never want the same thing. They always have different ideas and different ways of doing things. But what matters is what allows everyone to be able to live a peaceful life.

A peaceful life...

[That's looking less likely right now, given how things have worked out so far with Lloyd and Richter. Is there really a way to avoid more fighting?]

I'd like that. I hope there's a way to make it happen.

[ A nod. ]

I hope so as well.

[ Then a small pause ]

Are... Are one of the problems still discrimination?

Discrimination? What kind do you mean?

[Sylvarant versus Tethe'alla wasn't a thing before the worlds split, was it? And then...]

[ Mithos blinks. Wait... What did Emil just say? ]

W-What kind? There... there's more than one?

Sort of...?

[Emil is not the most qualified to be talking about these things.]

It's been going on between Sylvarant and Tethe'alla lately, after so long apart.

B-Between Tethe'alla and Sylvarant.

[ So after all those years everything just... ]

W-What about the discrimination against races?

Races? Like...half-elves?

[That's been going on for four thousand years? It sounds so terrible.]

It's around, but from what I remember hearing from my friends it's gotten a little better since two years ago. A - well, he's sort of a friend...he's a half-elf, and he says the discrimination against half-elves is changing because of the differences between Tethe'alla and Sylvarant.

[willnotdespair]

Mhm.

[ There was a slightly sign of relief on the half-elf as Emil explains. It's... not as much as he would have wanted to hear especially if it doesn't start getting better until after the world are reunited. All the more reason as to why did it take so long for the seed to germinate. If it had been germinated earlier then... ]

That's... a relief. But may I ask how the discrimination is changing due to the difference between the two countries?

There are people from both Sylvarant and Tethe'alla who look down on people from the other worlds, or hate others because of that. Not everybody does, but I have seen people who do.
