[Open] Morning Training! - February 16th

Time: 5am to 10am

Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

[ She watches him use the latest weapons she sets out and she observes his form. By doing this, she can have a general prediction about his complaints or assessments. ]

The Chain Whip pretty much features all of that. As for weapons with chains, the scythe, the meteor hammer, the chained grapple, nunchucks and the like. [ She hands him a mankiri. ] Try this and tell me what you think of it. This might be something up your alley. [ She doesn't mind the pickiness. The fact that he's even paying attention in weapons this much excites Tenten. ]

[He's pleased with it, managing to successfully make it wrap around a training pole a few times, tugging on it to assure it's solid grip and flexing the chain before he moves back over to her]

I'm rather fond of it; it's simple and effective for my purposes with the fluidity I need. [But it could just use a sharp or hooked side..] Do you have the chained scythe and grapple available?

I do. [ Tenten hands Neji something that looks similar to to test out first. ] Try this first. I think this weapon would be much easier to use than the grapple.

[Just looking at it, it's perfect. The chain is long, but not uncomfortably so, and if he thinks of it in terms of pulling Kishin off-balance or interrupting an attack from middle-distance, it's just fine.

He hands it back to her with a satisfied nod] Would you mind showcasing it's full capabilities?

Sure. Anything in specific you wish to see? [ She knows he's looking for specific maneuvers. She might as well streamline it now. ]

[Instead of answering, Neji rushes at her with a thin blade slipped from the table. Leaps up and comes down in a predictable arc]

[ Tenten immediately forsakes her chair and rolls to the right. She throws the top side of the flail upwards. She aims for his wrist so she can try to knock the weapon out of his hand. Failing that, she'll instead move the chain a bit backwards so it can try to wrap around his arm. ]

[The chain instead wraps around his arm with little effort, rendering his sword arm useless. Neji flips the weapon to his other hand and wraps the fingers of his ensnared arm around the chain in an effort to keep Tenten from escaping as he runs forward to close in]

[ Tenten walks backwards a bit before tugging the chain and pulling it downwards. She's not sure if it'll be enough to trip Neji, or make him lose balance, but she sure hopes it'll be. ]

[It's a clever tactic, and Neji overbalances, falling forward for the unexpected shift]

[ She leaps up as quick as possible, but, with the chain still wrapped around both of their arms, she has to lean a bit to avoid getting into a tug-a-war with Neji's body. ]
