Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

Her first strike is aimed for his chest and when it lands, she doesn't even flinch. It might seem abnormal for a seemingly young girl. She's strong, though not as strong as she was when she was in her own world. But she's noticeably stronger than average. Most of her strength lies within her agility and how quickly she's able to throw combos together.

She follows up with another punch in a manner of seconds. If her second punch connects, she's likely to throw in a kick as well.

The second punch did connect, if only because Kojuro let it happen. His interest had been piqued: the girl was, indeed, rather skilled.

"How long have you been fighting?"

It was probably strange how he intended to carry on a perfectly normal conversation while they were going at it, but that was how he did things.

"I dont..."

After the punch, she twists around, unleashing a kick. It's not that she's too busy to answer, but the question has her thinking about the answer. How long? She never really kept track of that.

"...remember."

"I see. It feels like you have been for most of your life."

That would be the only logical way to explain how strong she was, at any rate. Kojuro stepped away from the kick, moving into Sophie's blind spot. He attempted to counter with a solid blow aimed at her chest.

The blow manages to make her stagger backward, but she quickly recovers, trying to stay bouncing on the balls of her feet.

Fighting for most of her life sounds about right.

"Since the day I was born, I guess."

"And how old are you?"

Kojuro thought that she looked pretty young, but if there was anything that being in Death City had taught him, it was that appearances were INCREDIBLY deceiving.

Now the man was moving in again, going for a feint before aiming a knee for Sophie's side.

Sophie watches his movements more closely and quickly side steps slightly to avoid the knee to her side.

"I'm... an ancient being." That was what Malik called her before she arrived in Death City. But she looks around fourteen in appearance. She once told Asbel she might be fourteen, but after learning more about herself, that wasn't true at all.

She steps back into hitting range and moves to make a roundhouse kick at his body.

The only thing that betrayed Kojuro's curiosity and confusion over that was a lift of his eyebrows.

"I see."

He caught that kick with his arms and attempted to throw the girl away from him.

Ancient, but still a child in many ways.

"Is it..." Sophie is flung back by the throw, landing on her back, but only for a moment. She does a somersault backwards, back onto her feet.

"Strange?"

Kojuro blinked at that movement. The girl had excellent reflexes... she was potentially a dangerous opponent on the field.

Good: that meant that she could defend herself well.

"It is merely different, and all things are different from one another in essence."

The conversation seems to have put a halt on Sophie sending out any more attacks, but she does keep an eye on Kojuro and remain in a fighting stance.

"Sometimes I wish I wasn't so different." From humans. But she knows it's impossible.

"Is it difficult for you to be?"

Kojuro was shifting his weight from foot to foot, as if he were weighing his options. Or maybe he was simply biding his time. The man had an excellent poker face.

"It's... sad." Although she already has found a way to cope with it by remembering people, it's still depressing for her.

She waits a little longer, before finally making a move, stepping back into hitting range and throwing another thrust punch.

Kojuro took the hit yet again, and eyed his companion as he moved in for a counter.

"Why?"

Sophie watches his movements, preparing herself to either try blocking or stepping out of the way. Though, she's starting to feel distracted by the conversation.

"Because everyone else dies."

Kojuro did not respond to that, at least not immediately. The man's strike was fast, perhaps impossibly so for a man his size.

There isn't much of an attempt for her to block the strike. It's almost like she let it hit her this time. She takes the hit, falling back to the ground.

But she doesn't get back up. She doesn't really feel like it.

"...I want to take a break."
