Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

Takuto-kun. Good morning. [Saya smiles a little]

It seems breakfast is the best way for us to meet.

[tauborn]

I guess so. [He picks up a plate, staring at the food and wondering what he could eat.] I recognized your handiwork.

And it tastes good. [because Saya is cocky like that.

Takuto still looks quite shaken. She can't do much, unfortunately.]

[tauborn]

[He nods.] I'm looking forward to it. [He really does want to eat it all, but he should probably stick to the miso since it's mostly broth. He exchanges the plate for a bowl.]

[sayatakagi]

How have you been? [she decides to ask mostly because she is worried.]

[tauborn]

[He hesitates for a long moment, and then shakes his head.]

Honestly? Not good. [He takes a deep breath, spooning the soup into his bowl.] But I'm here today. [Even though he's not actually doing any training.]

[sayatakagi]

Hm.

Do you want to talk about it? [she will offer a friendly ear if he needs]

[tauborn]

I can do that without wanting to throw up now. [That sentence is so full of a kind of pathetic cheer. But he shakes his head.] I'd rather enjoy the meal.

[Maybe some other time, he'll talk to her. Perhaps when they manage to not meet at mealtime. He needs the sustenance more than he needs a friendly ear right now.]

[sayatakagi]

[nods softly] You know you can contact me if you need to talk, anyway.

And tell em what you think of the breakfast.

[tauborn]

[He tastes the soup and yes, it is as good as it smells.] It's good. How much of it did you make?

[It's oddly easy for him to be frank with her, and he realizes that maybe sometime, he will contact her.]

[sayatakagi]

[she is proud of her food already]

A lot. I have been awake since 3am, so I had a lot of time.

[tauborn]

[He was probably restlessly sleeping at 3 am.]

Do you... always wake up that early?

[sayatakagi]

It depends. [on how ugly her nightmares are]

I don't sleep much, anyway.

[tauborn]

[He nods, because he understands. Though, he has been sleeping better lately, though he is not about to tell Saya why.]

Well, I won't complain if it means I get this kind of breakfast.

[sayatakagi]

[she laughs]

Well, I guess I really should be cocky about my food. Apparently, it's that good.

[tauborn]

It should go to your stomach, and not your head, though.

[Laughing is a thing they both can do, though it's very obvious Takuto is out of practice.]
