Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

[Taiyou didn't see anybody he knew, and while he initially was going to sit where there were more people he kind of felt bad seeing somebody place themselves so far away.

*Clare looked just a bit unsure of why someone was coming to sit with her. Not like there was a lack of seats, but it would be rude to send them away.*

*Clare was pleasant, and this guy didn't seem trouble. So why not? She picked at her food a bit more before realizing that they should actually talk.*

But it's a good idea to show up here, no better way to learn about how things work here. How are you handling the city so far?

Hm... I guess that's just how it is. I'll have to get used to it.

Death City isn't bad. I've made a couple of friends already~ I just hope I can be helpful in the war.

There isn't much option but to get used to it. I mean you could try to change it but you'll just go insane. *Clare, being optimistic!*

That's good, it gets easier if you get used to some people. Anyone from your own world here?

[Despite how serious it actually is, Taiyou takes it in stride and chuckles.] Yeah going insane doesn't sound very healthy.

There are a few... Some of them I don't know personally, but they're friends of a friend.

It really isn't, and it makes all your friendships complicated. *Clare made a joke about the incident with the black blood, she's getting better... ish.*

It's still a bit nicer to know at least a few people get you, you know? Everyone's from such different backgrounds nothing is certain. Even if they are just friends of friends.

That's right! I've already met someone who's had this happen to him before, even. Getting stuck someplace he didn't know... How about you, Clare-san? Is there anyone you know here?

Nope, nobody from home. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. *Clare's expression was a bit distant, and unsettled.*

I mean, I would love to have someone here I know... but I don't belong here, same goes for pretty much all my friends. *Or ex-friends, as the case is for nearly all of them.*

Also it makes room for making new friends, like you.

It's both, I guess. You feel like there are people easier to relate to, as you mentioned... but then, they'd also have to fight.

And while we don't "belong" here in the worldly sense... I think it's not bad to start. Feeling welcome, that is. When you have friends by your side, what else do you need? [He grins, trying to be reassuring.]

I guess... they have done a good job of making it easier to adapt. They don't nearly have to be so nice to us, yet they are anyway. ...Almost makes up for the sun and the moon. *She's never getting over how creepy they are.*

The sun and moon over here are really weird, huh? Do you think even their astrology books even have their funny faces? [ . . . ] Or maybe we could even talk to them...

I think people have tried talking to them before... not sure about the astrology books. I've wondered about how tides work here, the moon doesn't go through phases here. And how an eclipse goes... it's just, weird...
