[Open] Morning Training! - February 16th

Time: 5am to 10am

Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

[[Whoops, wasn't expecting that! He yelps as he falls back, holding the cigarette back and as far away as he still can.

[Unfortunately he is completely ignoring whatever way their bodies were rubbing together as he is scrambling for his holy stick of nicotine.]

Give it back, dust bunny~!

[The growl is more playful than angry as he pretty much straddles the other boy, hoping to pin him to the ground with his weight and to stop him from squirming.]

[[Oh the squirming stops all right, though Bakura's still keeping the cigarette out as far as he can, almost out of reflex and not wanting to move too much as he's suddenly far too aware of a number of things he tries very hard not to be aware of as Leo pins him.

His breath is coming very quickly as he stills, looking much like the bunny his friend just accused him of. He's not used to this sort of roughhousing, even if he's seen it between Jounouchi and Honda in a more mild form, and with Leo being how he was...

It was all that Bakura could do to shut down a certain part of his brain that he refused to acknowledge and that he certainly was not going to let ruin his relationship with his best friend.]]

Aha! Got it back! [He crows as he shuffles a bit more and then plucks his cigarette back after leaning forward and planting one of his hands on the ground besides Bakura's head in order to keep his balance.

Noticing that the other has suddenly gone very silent, he gives him a curious look.]

Hey, something wrong? Ya look awfully awkward down there.

Aaa-- you-- you just started me....

[[His heart is beating rather fast at the moment and sounds very loud in his ears.]]

'Kay. [He gives him a confused look and then crawls off of him.] Ya didn't get a knee in the groin or somethin'? I tried not tha hit, but accidents like that sometimes happen.

[[sits up, dusting himself off]]

Aaa-- no no, just a little close! [[so very very awkward with that laugh. So glad yet at the same time a touch disappointed what the hell was wrong with him stupid stupid to no longer be pinned.]] I don't think I'd just be startled if you actually hit there!

[The comment makes him laugh.]

True! Last time I managed to knee Ryo-chan he wept like a little girl and wouldn't speak with me for the next three days.

[He pauses, giving him an appreciative glance.]

But ya got me good with that move. I didn't think you'd dare to try'n pull something like that.

I probably would have fared just as badly! [[The similar names is always so awkward. It's easier than him being called by his personal name is rare.]]


[[and he grins]] Makes it easier when people don't expect it, ne? [[and there's that cheeky innocent smile~]]

[lionborn]

[He smirks and puts the cigarette back into his mouth.]

Seems like it. Not that it'd know, big and scary as I am~

You just have to surprise people other ways, ne?

Well~ I wonder? [He flashes him a quick grin before he shakes his head with a chuckle.]

Sorry to say I'm just your average messed up guy besides the part of being a lion.

I'm pretty sure there's more to you than just that, Leo.

[lionborn]

[He grinned, taking a ridiculously pleased drag of nicotine-drenched air.]

Maybe so. D'ya think that I'm a masochist?

[shiromadoushi]

[[blinks a moment]] Eh? Why would I think that? [[a bit of a smile]] Unless you're saying putting up with me is that bad. [[totally teasing tone there]]

[lionborn]

It isn't. [He lets out a soft chuckle.]

Somebody told me I had to be one, a couple of times.

[shiromadoushi]

Kept having the bad luck to be hurt all the time?

[lionborn]

Nope~ I'm not you, remember? I actually care if I'm bleeding like a hole or not.

It's because of some of the company I keep hanging with. [and he can't even fully blame them for that kind of logical jump. Ryoki, Haru and Sougo are ...special in their way of doing things.]

[shiromadoushi]

I thought you said I wasn't that bad, [[teases with a smile before looking down]] And that's not a fair thing to say just based on who someone's friends are. People don't always see the same things in people after all, right?

[lionborn]

Heh~ Yeah, but the point is, they aren't even my friends. Or not anymore.. I just keep dealing with them.

[shiromadoushi]

But they were, right? There's no way you can just stop thinking about a person just because something happened so you can't be friends any more.

[lionborn]

[He falls silent at that. It's a bitter pill, this truth. He knows it because he has tried to do just that and it has backfired and burned him badly.]

Guess so. It sure explains why I keep talking with Ryo and Haru.

[shiromadoushi]

It's not a bad thing, I don't think. [[said softly and gently]]

[lionborn]

[He smiles faintly.] 'Cause you refuse to see the bad in people, Bakura. I'd lecture you about that too, but then I'd be complaining about still sitting here and being able to do that.

[[smiles warmly]] It has nothing to do with that. Friends are friends.
