[Open] Morning Training! - February 16th

Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

If you can find a good partner you should be okay! I've only been on one mission, since...well, not a lot of people can use my Weapon form, but it went well!

[He makes an angry little noise as he gets foiled and his mind reaches instinctively out to call upon his dark magic to teach her a lesson before he catches and stops himself. Backing off, he smiles in a bad copy of his host.]

[He goes back to eating, mulling as another lychee finds its demise between his teeth and only semi-concerned at keeping his act up (it was pretty much fucked over by now anyway. The girl probably doesn't know his host very well).]

They're good for torture but bad in real fights.

Well...I guess the best way to put it is I suck out a portion of 'energy' every time I make contact. And if I drain enough, as I found out in training, I can actually use that energy in an attack. It does some pretty significant damage! If the Kishin is worn down enough, I can pull the soul right out.

{There were probably other attacks she could use, but since Kanji gained an official partner she hadn't had anybody to explore that with.}

Hmn. [He makes a point not to look interested or overly impressed and peels another fruit instead. Energy draining isn't bad - he himself is fond of moves like that to back up his strategy during games of Duel Monsters.

However, he knows better than to simply compare a game to reality or to display the weakness of showing too much interest in something that he might want.]

Sucking out life points is not bad, but you need to be able to stay alive and drag it out for however long it takes.

Yeah. That's part of the Meister's job; I need somebody who can not only use a whip but is nimble enough to evade the Kishin egg at the same time.

I don't think a masochist would make a very good Meister...

[He smiles, all nice Bakura-ish.] I'm sure that there are a lot of people like that around here who would be happy to work with you.

They can be surprisingly tough to deal with, I think. Since hurting them would be pretty useless...

You'd be surprised. People usually stick with what they know, instead of learning how to use something new. Whips aren't that common a choice.

Maybe, but it's not really conducive to completing a mission quickly and efficiently...

Because it's easy to smack yourself with them. [He chuckles.] I'm not even sure what the most common choices are. People don't usually fight like this where I come from.

[Instead they use slips of paper to summon too real holograms that eat people. Or play games that ar dead serious. It's a whole lot better.]

Hmm....knives, maybe? Or guns. We don't have many other common weapons in my world either, but some people here prefer swords!

Swords... That's very classical. I have spoken with a gun before, but no knives.
