Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

"It is," Kid confirmed. "I am Death the Kid and I can use my Soul Perception to help determine your ability."

Death the Kid... she remembers him somewhat from the tour and what Black Star mentioned about him. She tilts her head to the side. First, she has some trivial questions like a child would ask.

"Why is your name Death the Kid?"

"I was basically named after my father," he answered. It was a question he heard countless of times. "He was Death, and I am his son. Usually one uses the term 'junior,' but my father has...had his own sense of naming. You can just call me Kid."

"I'm Sophie. It's nice to meet you, Kid." She nods her head. Kid it is, then. "And why was your father named Death? Where did he get his name?"

Death gods and even the concept of death is still something new to her.

"Pleasure to meet you, Sophie," he returned with a polite nod.

"My father was Lord Death, the Grim Reaper. We are shinigami, or death gods. You could say the name comes with what we do. It may vary between worlds, but here we look over the souls of everyone and it is our duty to maintain the order and peace of the world."

She doesn't know if Grim Reapers or death gods exist in Ephinea. She'll have to ask Asbel about it the next time she sees him.

"Thank you... for your hard work."

That was a little unexpected.

"It's what I have to do, so there's no need for thanks," he answered, though he did muse over it a little. But she had come here to learn of her abilities, and not wanting to take up too much of her time, he then said, "Now let me see if I can determine your meister ability."

"Yes, please." She nods. Oh, right, that's what she's here for. Her other questions will have to wait another time. "I want to know, so I can help everyone much more."

He nodded.

"This will only take a moment," Kid said before closing his eyes and focusing on her soul.

To Sophie it probably looked like he was just standing there, but for Kid it was like he was viewing the world with a completely different lens. He could see her soul, and it accurately reflected what he could already tell from her. She did seem to give that curious, child-like vibe. He then "zoomed in" on the particular frequencies that would help tell him her ability. Hm...

"Your ability can help heal yourself others," he finally said after several seconds before reopening his eyes. "My guess is that this is the Soul Bandaid ability."

She waited patiently until Kid finished looking into her soul. When he's finished, she perks up a bit, hearing the name of her ability and what it can do. Soul Bandaid, huh. That sounds close enough to her healing artes and self-healing functions.

"That's great!" She smiles. But... "How... am I supposed to use it?"

He opened his mouth to answer, but then he had to pause. How...did one use it? A look of confusion crossed over his features as he tried to recall.

"That...I am not sure," he finally admitted. "I'm more knowledgeable about passive meister abilities rather than the active ones. If I had to have an educated guess, I would think you just needed to touch or have your hand near the wound and exert your soul wavelength out."

He crossed his arms, a finger tapping as he thought. "The only way to really find out is trying through training..." There's a light of realization. "Actually, I highly recommend you go to the Medic and First Aid Training sessions run by Naomi Kimishima. She has the same ability and would be able to better help you."

Then the Medic and First Aid training sessions are probably where she'll be heading to next. She knows that if she wants to help this world, she figures she might as well see how much she can learn during Morning Training.

"Okay. I'll see what I can find out." Sophie gives a nod of her head and another smile, "Thank you for your help, Kid."

He returned the nod with a small smile.

"Your welcome, Sophie. Good luck."
