[Open] Morning Training! - February 16th

Time: 5am to 10am

Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

Hinata had seen Clare earlier, but decided against approaching. With some of the things that had been said on that 'holiday', she was almost unsure as to how to approach her. If it would be welcome knowing what she did because of forced honesty.

But now, with what she can only assume is notes, she can't not approach. The best way to deal with these situations is to make the first step, after all.

"Hello, Clare-san. Um, how are you today?"

Clare's heart jumped a little at Hinata's voice, the short list of people Clare wasn't sure she could exactly talk to after V-Day. Oddly Neji wasn't on that list somehow despite what she revealed to him. But... he needed to know, Hinata... never needed to know such details.

Clare knew this from her sister, cheer captains attracted certain looks Clare never needed attached to her sister.

"Less honest than yesterday, so much improved," Clare did her best to be confident, but the facade wasn't the best built, "But we can still hug." Humor wasn't Clare's best defense, but she was feeling pretty confident bad jokes were the least of her worries. Clare went over her checklist of items not to bring up unless Hinata wants to talk about them. Neji, her chest, compliments, avoid those and Clare was pretty certain she could get through this.

She hoped.

"That's good to hear... And I bet you are glad for it, too." She smiled, even if it was a small amused one and accompanied by a blush at the mention of yesterday.

"Um, I-I guess we can. Without needing chocolates, too." Even as she said it, she kind of hoped a hug didn't happen. Though she hugged more people over the past two days than she had in her entire life, it was still strange. And she didn't do strange.

"Beyond glad, I spent a portion of yesterday tempted to lie just because I could... I didn't, but I really wanted to," Clare noted Hinata's poker face was terrible, but let it slide and went on with things.

"Like right now, we could hug and..." Clare didn't even make it to a proper comedic pause, she surrendered quickly, "I can't do that to you, you want nothing like that. So are you checking up on me, this a social call, or what?"

"I-I don't think anyone would blame you if you did." She smiled. One never knew how important lying was until they couldn't anymore.

"That...that's not entirely true." It was, but it wasn't the nice or polite thing to admit to. "Just...maybe not at training." Because people. Witnesses. Neji. "But, um... It's a little of it all. I-I did want to see how you were now. And then, I couldn't help but notice...your notes."

"Probably not after Valentine's day, but the rest of the year they would. Lying isn't exactly nice, especially when it's meaningless." This of course did not extend to jokes at the expensive of others, especially if you let them know it was a joke.

...Yeah, Hinata, your poker face is terrible, but Clare will not poke that right now. "Oh, that," Clare held her journal close, it wasn't something she normally shared because she tried to be detailed with any changes she noticed or felt in Death City. This included pages focused on her own body in strictly clinical ways. She also had notes from watching others, which are a bit hard to explain, "I... like to take notes, it's how I cope and try to better understand my transformation and abilities."

"And I'm fine," Wow Hinata could worry, not that Clare was innocent of this, but still. She considered how to best express her current state without pouring salt on awkward wounds, "I still feel a little exposed. I was really tempted not to show up to training today but I do need to stop hiding from myself. I... wasn't exactly jumping to talk to you yet, not that I didn't want to but. Things I said, not sure how to explain them..." Clare trailed off, not sure how to best explain without a question to answer.

A question she can half answer and not be forced to answer with the truth and the whole truth.

She held up her hands and waved them a bit. "It...it's fine. You really don't have to explain anything. What happened...happened. And there really is nothing to explain. So don't worry."

Then she sighed and stepped closer. "Notes...seem smart. Like a good thing to do here. Um, though...I-I was just wondering. Since you are a Weapon, too. Um, how did you find it? Your form, I-I mean.."

"...Uh huh." Clare does not believe you Hinata, be shocked. "Well, if you do have any questions eventually, I'll answer most of them." She didn't really expect Hinata to ask some quesitons, but she had no intention to answer anything with Neji and how attractive he is.

"Oh, you ask Yuuri for help. He's the one who helped me." Clare pointed out her friend in the area, "But I suggest picking one of your abilities from home, and trying to activate it here. One of them might connect to your transformation."

And Hinata had no intentions of ever asking those questions under normal circumstances. Maybe about how they met, or what happened during that last attack, but nothing else. "Um, maybe...in a few more days? When there's been some time between it and...then."

She nodded and soaked up what Clare said. More than anything, she wanted to learn how to find her form. From there, everything else should be easy. She thought. "All right. I'll find him first, then...then try that. Thank you so much."

"Time is probably best, I wish there were more of it," Clare's desire to be here was lessened by the memory of the past few days. She... wished there was more break between storms but there was always some darkness on the horizon here, even if it wasn't visible. She's hidden enough, she can work, so she should work. "I'm free most of the time but evenings when I work."

"Also, relax, Yuuri knows what he's doing. And your body knows what its doing too, it'll probably let you know what you need," Clare offered, not sure if that made sense. Coming here changed everyone... in little ways you couldn't notice. Clare couldn't see the changes, but she could see the impacts it had. Like you can't see the wind, but you can see the trees sway.

Hinata smiled, somewhat sadly. Time was always such a fickle thing; if only they had more of it, or could turn it back. It was always so hard to just enjoy it. "Yes, me too.. Um, I-I always work evenings so... That works for me too."

But that was not too surprising, that her body would know. The body knew what was best for it, after all. "Ah, that...that's good advice. Um, hopefully it does."
