Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

Then I will help you. [ A pause, then she gives another head tilt. ] So how do we... resonate?

Oh! [ Sophie lets out a small surprised gasp. That's pretty neat. ] How is it floating there?

"No, not really." She answers with a shake of her head. "We can spar."

She hasn't really had any "friendly battles" with anyone before except with Asbel, but she doesn't mind. It might be more helpful to spar with an actual person than fighting with a stationary dummy.

[And Amaterasu observed, walking around the dummy when he's done again. Yes, he's starting to get it, but it will take more work. After a once around, she sat down and looked over at Mithos. Perhaps he should take a moment before continuing.]

[ Uhh... Mithos tries to remember how a meister and a weapon would resonate. He hasn't done it and it's been a while but he remembers explaining something to Kratos about a weapon's role. ]

Uhm... we need to see if our Soul Wavelengths are compatible before resonating. If they are then we should be able to resonate and... perform the techniques that require resonating.

[ Whatever they were. ]

[Ehh... that's a little hard to explain. Ammy can only look back and give her a blank face expression.]

[ He took a few deeps breaths to steady his breathing from the light panting as she walked around the dummy. While continuing wouldn't be a problem Mithos knew that pushing yourself wasn't a wise idea. Taking her advice he lowers the practice sword and walks over to Ammy before sitting down beside her. He takes another deep breath. ]

Thanks for the help, Ammy. I... still have a long ways to go but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

[Her tail flops against the ground lazily and she gives him a grin. He is most welcome.]

[after he'd worked himself up and everything, too. funny, he didn't consider demona the shy sort -- but then again, his judgment's been wrong in the past and he knew very little about her yet.

aah, well, that's precisely what the exercise is about, isn't it? getting to know someone better, their strengths, their weaknesses. something he's wont to do with anyone who's proved they physically outclass him.

while the gargoyle cuts an impressive figure, wings spread and all, qilby in his age and injuries and tattered sleeves makes no such displays. he'd always taken great pains to make himself look quite the opposite of impressive, in fact, though to the watchful eye some hints indicating otherwise are discernible: solid, grounded footing; an alert, analytical gaze; an air of ages-old experience. if anything he has is able to hold up to superior strength, speed, and stamina is a question soon to be answered.]

By your leave. [qilby flashes a quick, cursory smile. he braces himself.] The first strike is yours, if you'll take it.

Why don't you ask someone from Shibusen if they've heard of it? Or maybe a resident?

I've asked a few people already. [[assures with a smile]] I'm starting to think it's another game that only exists back home, like Duel Monsters.

[ Mithos smiles back and gives her a few pats. This was sort of like when he would take breaks with Noishe after training with Kratos. Except Ammy is both resting with him and helping him.

Maybe once he gets the hang of this he'll show Kratos how much he's improved. Yeah. Sounds good. ]

[not shy. She simply doesn't wish to make her abilities too obvious. After all, she'd need the element of surprise later on. Allowing just a handful of people to see a little of what she could do, she'd still be safe when, later on, she betrayed them to the witches]

First mistake, my dear Qilby. Never let your opponent have the first strike, even if it's your best friend.

[Demona's muscles tense, and her eyes turn red, glowing. A growl grows from the back of her throat and the moment she flings herself towards Qilby, the growl has turned into an animalistic roar. The gargoyle only gives few quick steps, because she soon dives towards the floor to continue her run on all fours and try to attack Qibly from below.

She couldn't use her claws, sure. But she would use her wings as a shield to hit him]

[She takes out a case of them from her pocket.]

[ The blank, confused expression remains on her face like she doesn't have a clue what Mithos just said. Oh boy, this may take her some time to understand. ]

[ Taking this one step at a time was probably the best way to do this. ]

It is very important! That is how the training grounds look as good as they do! And I would not want to leave a mess. [Gai folds up a fair few and hefts them, hauling them over to the shed.] And I do not want to be a bad guest.
