[Open] Morning Training! - February 16th

Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 16th.

Neji does Gentle Fist. It is not Strong Fist. Do you wish to also grow your hair long and wear flowy clothing? That suits his style!

Can't I just have a normal amount of Strong Fist style training without the added bells and whistles? I just wanna be better at taijutsu. I don't want to become you.

You will not become me! But this is how to fully improve! Why not do all that you can?

Hmmm well what about if you try starting out without accessing the energy? See how long you can hold onto that form then. Most battles only last a few minutes at most, but I've been in a few situations where I've had to maintain my weapon form for a few hours. That takes a lot of energy and strength out of you, so it's good to start with the basics and how to access your energy only when you need it.

It took me quite a while to learn how to do that, but I've never had to do anything like that at all either.

Then why even train at all? Go the full way, Obito! Strive to be more! Abandon laziness!

Strength is more than just physical. Many people seem to forget this.

So bloodline limits aren't a sure thing? *Ninja biology is less weird, but not by much.* I guess that makes sense.

We're not, but it doesn't change how it works. If your entire family are bakers, but you burn every cake but you're great at sewing clothes, or building furniture, or any other good example. *She hoped that got her message across, that it was simply being different, and that's okay.*

I don't have a ninja example, but you can probably fill in the blanks on that.

[Kratos wishes he would. Oh well, as long as Hades won't mind getting a black eye if Mithos ends up getting skewered thanks to him then it's fine. Though, if that happened, it'd be a black eye and broken bones, but details, who needs them?]

Well, no. It's harder to tell in Uchiha than in Hyuuga because our eyes aren't clearly indicative of our potential. [Obito tapped his temple near his left eye, the one that was black and normal.] Both my eyes used to look like this. Hyuuga eyes... you know they have the bloodline limit as soon as they're born with white eyes.

[Obito nods.] Yeah, I get what you mean.

I wish it were that simple, sometimes. But I guess... It's just hard, shedding a family name that has that kind of expectation. [It would almost be easier just to abandon the name 'Uchiha' altogether. But Obito can't do that. It's just not that simple.]

I had not though of that. [Starting without power. Such a thought would never have occurred to him back home. But then again, this place was not home. The system was different. Chakra didn't have to be expended in order to add extra power to kicks or punches or jumps. Resonance was what mattered.]

Intriguing idea, Yuuri-san! I will have to try it that way!

I am very used to fighting back home, but it is essential to charge your power before you go in for an attack.

It's hard to get used to not being the one doing all the actions of fighting. Don't forget about balancing out your resonance with your partner as well.

[Lee actually takes a moment to grab a small notebook and pen from his vest pocket for note-taking. All the while having a very Serious face.]

Yes! I will do my best to hold back... and work to resonate with partner in order to make up for it! This will be my new plan!
