Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

But please, don’t forget to thank your hosts, Keroro’s and Eve’s Metokkori R and Hikan Café, and thank Cupid, Lily’s Yesterday's Magic, Hyoubu’s World’s End, Condesce’s Betty Crocker Bakery and the Watch for all their help. But of course! This is what you have all been waiting for. The lights go out for a moment and only the dance floor is lighten up. Meister and their Weapons are invited to dance together now and show Death City just how great you two can dance. Be careful with your partner’s foot, alright?

Saya isn't all very happy about it. And it may take some time to convince her. Good luck with that, Sendo ]

[No. Really, Saya? Are you going to be stubborn about this? It's a Gala. You are expected to dance!]

Er...Saya? Do you..want to?

[ This is Saya. Bitching is one of the best things she does.

but at his request, she takes a moment to consider ]

[The Partner's dance. Lee had heard about this but it didn't quite hit him until this moment that it meant he was encouraged to dance with his partner. Neji.

Suddenly quivering with excitement, Lee bounces around on his feet and rushes over to tug at Neji's sleeve.]

Neji! We should dance!

[Neji frowns over the announcement, hoping Lee had missed it for all of a minute before he feels his partner tugging on him]

Lee, I don't know the dances of this world.. Not to mention you only have one arm.

[Face falling and brows knitting in dejection, Lee pouts but continues to hold Neji's sleeve between his fingers.]

I have two arms. One is just weak right now.

[But of course that's not why he's really sad. He wants to dance, and it would be fun to dance with Neji.]

It is just for partners, Neji! Come on! It will be fun!

[Eve actually really wanted to try this! It looked like it could be a lot of fun...

She reached out to tap Keroro on the shoulder.]

[Keroro turns, cocktail shrimp sticking out of his mouth.

{Sorry, Sasha, but there's no escape from this, even if your partner is wearing heels that make her notably taller than you. It's time to dance, so stop being a wallflower, or Yako will come over there and get you herself.

[At least she's not trying to get him to dance with someone else, so he doesn't protest (much). Even though she's currently towering over him, he still takes the lead...although he is a bit hesitant and awkward due to lack of practice.

But he gets to dance with Yako, and it's fun, so...]

This event isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

[He was expecting it to be like that party they were at a few weeks ago.]

{Yako isn't exactly an expert dancer either, but she's having fun and bonding with Sasha, so everything is all good in her books. She smiles down at him and resists the urge to ruffle his hair. They are in public after all, and he might just huff and walk off on her if she teases him that much.}

I'm gad to hear it. I thought maybe you would have more fun this time, since...well, you didn't seem too happy after last time.

[Takuto hadn't known there'd be a partner dance, but it should be pretty fun. He's no expert on the dance floor, but he knows the basic steps and is willing to dance with anyone he's ever resonated with.]

[Should she call out to him like he normally did to her? No, that would totally ruin her image, instead, she stands quietly behind him.]

Wow, I'm not used to seeing you in black, Takuto-san.

[She is currently on break from playing a set with Hamel and Shinji and figures she should mingle a little before they go back on. obligatory dress pic here ]

[He turns at the sound of her voice, and then blinks a little because... wow, Nanami, you have really done well tonight.]

You look nice. [Not that Nanami doesn't usually bring a little class wherever she goes, it's just that she looks pretty hot tonight and he didn't actually expect that. But now he knows who that blond in the band is.] You're one of the musicians tonight?

[is it even alright for them to dance after what... happened? whatever, he's stepping up to the redhead anyways. deal with it takuto.]

[It doesn't occur to him that you want to dance. He just turns and smiles warmly.]

[Yuugi is dressed fairly simply for the gala, in a grey dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up under a black vest borrowed from Lily's shop, one of very few formal wear pieces they have left in stock thanks to this event (likely due to the small size. It fits Yuugi perfectly though!) He's not even wearing a tie because that would look weird with the collar. A wrist cuff on each arm, his customary black pants and boots, and of course his Millennium Puzzle complete the look.

He seems distracted and maybe even a little fidgety, but hey--he took your advice and came to the party, Takuto!]

[He's not going to wait for Yuugi to ask him to dance. Then he's going to wind up dancing the girl's part and he's learned his lesson after trying to waltz around with Sugata.]

Yuugi! You made it. And you're looking sharp. [He grins, holding up a hand.] It's the partner dance, you know.

[Aqua was pretty sure her partner wouldn't dance with her. Then again, they really weren't that close and even if they were...

...even if they were she might not have asked.

She watches the dance floor with a sad smile on her face. She didn't look like she intended to ask anyone to dance and there wasn't exactly anyone around her either.]

[But Takuto is close enough to her, and if Takuto can bring out a real smile for the party, then so can Aqua. She just needs some motivation. He steps in front of her and holds out his arm like a true gentleman.]

May I have this dance, Aqua?

*Well. This isn't awkward at all. Still, Alucard had been told that it would be a good way to build bonds with a partner. So if it was for THAT reason, then it might be all right?*

[Raidou was fidgeting a little, suddenly feeling self-conscious. The way Naoto had said it, dancing with another man was apparently not that unusual nowadays... It would be fine, right?]

Ah... Alucard-san?

Yes, Raidou? *He has to admit, Raidou looks particularly dashing his his suit. He's still got the same hat, though, but he's used to that from his partner and friend.*
