Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

[And in comes Minako, hair let down and loose for once and wearing a white and orange dress that she somehow managed to find despite the lack of time she had to prepare... Speaking of, she probably has a bandaid or bandage somewhere on her still, but she's not about to let that whole fiasco keep her from having a good time!! Or more like this gala will hopefully lift her spirits up for good from that whole thing, but details.

All in all though, Minako looks pretty excited. She knows that she probably doesn't like the fanciest for this whole thing and all, but it's not everyday she gets to go to something like this after all.]

Wow, this looks amazing! I wonder how many people will come?

[He's honestly surprised at Minako's ability to bounce back. She just went through something hard and he's kid of relieved that she's doing alright.

Just for the record Raiden's wearing a suit. It looks a little awkward on him because he isn't wearing shoes. Since when do cyborgs need shoes anyways]

Who knows? Looks like everyone's using this opportunity to take a break from the recent events.

Not that I can blame them. Should you really be up and partying so soon? What about your injuries?

Well, I can't be sad forever, right? [Of course, she does still feel upset about what happened... But she definitely doesn't think anything will come from dwelling on it forever. Why not take the opportunity to cheer herself up?] And don't worry about me! I might look like this, but I think I'll be able to handle a dance or two. I have to say though, you're looking good yourself, Raiden.

Right. [Then he just decides that it's best to dismiss the topic. THIS IS NO TIME TO BE SAD]

Just be extra careful when you're out dancing. If you think you're feeling tired, you can always take a break.

[SCREAMS minako why..]

You're kidding, right? This is the kinda stuff I used to wear when I worked as a bodyguard. [It seems like forever ago now though. Sob.] Formal wear fits you better than it does on me. [Quietly gives Minako backhand compliments]

Yeah, I know. [She smiles gratefully.] But thanks for looking out for me anyways.

Haha, really? You should try wearing it more often then! It looks good on you, I swear. [backhand compliments why...] But you think so? I don't get to dress up often like this, so I wonder if it turned out alright...

You don't have to thank me for that, silly.

Maybe I'll consider it. [Because he cant say no to Minako when she puts it that way]

You look fine. Don't worry about it too much.

You reminded me of someone from back home just now. She's younger than you and I think the both of you would get along.

Really? I hope it's a good kind of reminder then... But what is she like?

She's a bit of a child prodigy.

Her name's Sunny. Sunny would keep thanking me for things that I didn't think deserved appreciation. [LIKE WHOA he suddenly sounds way friendlier than before. Minako's protagonist swag is at work here.]

A child prodigy? I don't know if we have that much in common then... [ALL PART OF BEING A SOCIAL LINK, but she nods along as he continues.]

She sounds like a nice girl though. If she was thanking you like I do, maybe you deserved that appreciation more than you think.

Ugh, no. I don't think so. [Immediately denied, but Minako's right.]

Haha, if you say that, then I definitely think that's the case. [SHE'LL BACK SUNNY UP ON THIS even if she doesn't know her.]

[ Chika smiled as she heard Minako. She's surprised that she's out and about after what had happened, but well, okay, it had been a little while since then. And well, what better way to forget about things like that than a party. ]

I think there's going to be a lot of people. Everyone was really excited, after all.

[ Chika's wearing a rather old fashioned green dress herself. And she pretty much looks like she's having a good time so far, even though she just got there. ]

Chika-san, you look great! [It may be old fashioned, but it feels a lot more formal than what Minako was wearing, or at least in her opinion that's how it was.] But really? That's good to hear. I don't know if events like this happen often, but it'd be a shame if people weren't excited, right?

[ Well, yes, that's true. Chika's dress was definitely a formal dress. There was no way around that. ]

And yeah, stuff like this doesn't really happen all that often. Most of the time we only get parties and stuff during certain holidays. So this is definitely nice. I definitely think we all needed it.

Yeah, same here. After everything that's happened, I could definitely use something fun like this. [What better way to cheer up than a party, right?] But parties during holidays huh... What's the next holiday that's coming up where people hold stuff like this? It'll be something to look forward to at least.

[ Chika blinks, before letting out a small giggle. ]

Honestly? I have no clue. I'm not really that familiar with the western holidays... which seems to be what this place focuses on.

Maybe Halloween?

Halloween? That's all the way in October, right? [MAAAAAN so much for another get together like this.]

[ Chika nods with a smile. ]

Yeah. It is.

... Then again, for all I know there might be something in September too. I only got here around November last year.

I really hope so. Waiting all the way until September for something like this again would be such a bummer.

Yeah. I know what you mean. With everything going on, you'd think it'd feel like time was flying by, but months are still a pretty long time to wait for things.

Tell me about it! I feel like so much has happened here already, but I've only been here for a few months. If I have to wait even longer for something nice like this, I'm gonna go crazy.

Yeah.

Well... maybe we'll find something out soon then. I mean, who knows, maybe there's some super special Death City holiday in a couple of weeks that no one told us about.

[ She doesn't think so, but hey, maybe they would get lucky with that. ]
