Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

But please, don’t forget to thank your hosts, Keroro’s and Eve’s Metokkori R and Hikan Café, and thank Cupid, Lily’s Yesterday's Magic, Hyoubu’s World’s End, Condesce’s Betty Crocker Bakery and the Watch for all their help. [Aqua was pretty sure her partner wouldn't dance with her. Then again, they really weren't that close and even if they were...

...even if they were she might not have asked.

She watches the dance floor with a sad smile on her face. She didn't look like she intended to ask anyone to dance and there wasn't exactly anyone around her either.]

[But Takuto is close enough to her, and if Takuto can bring out a real smile for the party, then so can Aqua. She just needs some motivation. He steps in front of her and holds out his arm like a true gentleman.]

May I have this dance, Aqua?

[She was surprised when he suddenly steps in front of her, even more so when he asks her for a dance.]

Oh! Um...I don't really know how...

Just try to follow along--it doesn't matter if you don't know how, as long as you're willing to learn, right?

[And he feels like he's falling into his old patterns again, finally. Even if for now it's just on the surface, he's surrounded by a cheerful optimism as he takes her hand and leads her onto the floor.]

...I guess.

[She's not so sure though. She's not really a dancing sort of girl and she probably looks as awkward as she feels even as she follows him onto the dance floor.]

[He places her hand on his shoulder, and then puts one of his gently on her waist. Her other hand he continues holding lightly, and then he gives her a dazzling smile.]

Just relax, Aqua. I really don't care what you do as long as you have fun.

[And then he steps off into the first step of the dance.]

[BUT WHAT IF SHE MESSES UP?

But she nods at him and tries to relax, at least. It was easier because he was so calm about this and because he was a friend she trusted him.

She lets him lead though and, surprisingly, she finds she doesn't have such a hard time trying to keep up even though she spends a lot of time staring down at their feet. She just doesn't want to step on him, okay?

[See? She's doing just fine! And if she messes up, Takuto will ignore it and just keep going. Because that's the plan for messing up, she'll probably never even know if Takuto messes up....]

Having fun yet? [The music swells and he sends her out the length of his arm for a twirl.]

[She laughs a little when he twirls her. That itself should be enough of an answer, but she smiles at him and answers verbally anyway.] Yes.

[He smiles warmly at her, and then gently leads her to a standstill as the song ends.]
