Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

It is a shame Tenten is not around. I am certain she would not have recognized us like this.

[Neji huffs an amused breath]

It's more likely we wouldn't recognize her if her hair was down.

[Lee released a snort of laughter.]

Oh, very true, very true! Heh, she would likely scold us for it but... It would be nice to see, I think.

[Neji nods, faintly amused, then draws to a stop as the song finally comes to an end]

It would. I'm sure she'd wear red in some fashion. For the moment however.. I've fulfilled my dance quota.

She has good taste. [Lee can only expect her to look stunning. But stopping had him frowning, taking his mind away from thoughts about his tomboyish teammate dressed up all girly for once.]

Can we not just... do one more together?

[Neji paused, turning back from where he was intent on returning to his vigil and quirked a brow back at his downcast teammate. He hummed a short note, glancing back toward the crowds]

We could, but I'd agreed to one. Another may require some convincing.

[Lee tilted his head to the side, confused. But then his eyes widened and he stated stuttering, turning a light shade of pink.]

B-but Neji, this... this is a public place....

[heavenly_earth]

[Neji blinked, then flushed a darker shade, tugging Lee out of the way of the other dancers and whispering low as they moved]

I don't mean here and now, Lee! [Neji raises a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, not even daring to contemplate how Lee had thought he'd be fine with..] And that's certainly not the only way to convince me.

O-oh... [Well, he probably should have thought that through first. He would have understood but then he stopped and contemplated Neji's other words.]

Not the only way? What do you mean?

Well.. [He glances around again, hesitates a moment] You could let me take you on a mission in a few days..

Is that all?

[Lee smiles crookedly, not sure if he should feel amused or not. Well, he feels amused. There was quite a bit more that could be done and he would do it, but...]

If that is what you wish, then certainly! Though... I will have to be in Weapon form for a good amount of that time.

[It was too hard to fight hand-to-hand when one of his hands was so tightly bound in a cast.]

[Neji relaxes visibly, nodding. With all the rest Lee had been insisting on, and with Lee's broken arm, he doubted they'd be able to get out of the city even once over the next few weeks. But now..]

I'm sure that won't be an issue. We'll take an investigation that will be less likely to involve combat. It won't gain us any souls, but..

[Lee nods back enthusiastically. Sounds fun.]

Something investigative! We can certainly do that. Now dance with me again!
