Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

But please, don’t forget to thank your hosts, Keroro’s and Eve’s Metokkori R and Hikan Café, and thank Cupid, Lily’s Yesterday's Magic, Hyoubu’s World’s End, Condesce’s Betty Crocker Bakery and the Watch for all their help. The park is very dark. You see, only the lights to light up the path towards the swimming pool are open. So the rest of the place is dark and lonely. But if you really want to get away from everyone this is the place. Just be careful not to bump into a tree or fall asleep on a bench.

[It's a little difficult to enjoy a party when you can't dance and your hearing is too sensitive for the music. The food is delicious, but she had to get away eventually. Going through the park, it's too dark for most humans. Fortunately, she's a torch for the evening. If anyone needed help getting through, she may be willing to lend a paw.]

[Keroro had to make good on his promise to befriend the wolf goddess, so when he sees her heading off, he immediately snatches a glass of water for her and follows her.]

Ah, wait, de arimasu!

[motherofthesun]

[Her ears stand and she turns, tilting her head when she sees Keroro. What's he doing leaving the party right now? She woofs at him, but sits and wait to see what it is. Looks like he's bringing something.]

Good evening, Amaterasu-dono!

[He offers her the water....but wait...she can't take it.

He opts to set it down on the ground beside her.]

[Staring at the cup, she blinks and realizes it's water as he setting it down. Well that's nice of him.]

[Staring back at him, she lets her tail wag and woofs again. Good evening, Keroro. A tilted head and slight grunt, she asks how he's doing tonight.]

[It's not quite that dark yet when Gray leaves the gala through the park in order to start his Watch patrol, but dark enough that the light source is welcomed as he walks. Sure enough, there's only one person, or wolf, he knows who glows like that.]

Ammy?

[Not that she's doing too much right now, but she is sniffing at a tree. When her name is called, her head shoots up and her ears stand tall. Tail wagging, she trots over to him]

Woof!

Hey! So you showed up to the party too, huh?

[And he starts with the usual scratching behind the ears and headpats.]

How've you been?

[You see, parks are the sort of place that Mizuno loves to be in. So she's standing on the path, staring up at the lights, and quietly trying to attract a few night birds to her. She's donned a light blue dress for the occasion, completely with a short, poofy skirt which she keeps getting distracted by.]

C'mon, little birdies...! It's okay, I promise you won't get hurt...!

[ Chika can't help but giggle as she comes across Mizuno calling out to the birds. She can't say that she's all that surprised, since the other girl tended to do that a lot. But still, you'd think Mizuno would've learned by now. ]

Still trying to get them to come down, Mizuno-chan?

[innocent_blue]

[Glancing around, Mizuno smiled brightly at Chika.]

I know if I keep trying, they'll listen to me eventually!

[She giggles.]

You look really, really pretty, Chika-chan! Can I touch your dress??

[scatterflower]

You'll have to let me know once you manage to get them to listen.

[ She pauses for a moment, before giggling. ]

Sure, why not? Go ahead, Mizuno-chan.

[He'd excused himself for the actual party claiming he needed some fresh air--and after a few dances with Yako it's probably true. But he might also secretly be scouting the place for the perfect spot to have a little romantic interlude with his girlfriend. You know, if the opportunity arose.

He almost considers heading back inside when he hears Mizuno's voice, but then figures it'd be weird to do so, and it'd hurt her feelings if she saw him and he hadn't said hello. So he's actually wearing the gentlest of smiles when he finally speaks.]

You don't think the birds are sleeping now?

[innocent_blue]

[Mizuno jumps just a little at the sound of Takuto's voice and spins to blink at him. But she only looks startled for a moment before she starts smiling warmly at him.]

Some of them are awake! I can see their eyes. They just don't want to come see me.

[tauborn]

Maybe because they are sleepy? [He shrugs and then his smile returns.] You look very pretty tonight, Mizuno. Are you enjoying the party?

[peacocked]

[AND NOW HE'S OUT TO BROOD except not really. that all goes out the window when he hears mizuno talking to the birds. he wanders over quietly and places a hand on his hip.]

I don't think the birds will be up until a couple of more hours Mizuno.

[Looking around, Mizuno smiles brightly at Sugata.]

There's some night birds around!! I know they're there, they just don't wanna talk to me.

[She pouts a little into the trees.]

Oh? And which ones are the night birds. [he cranes his neck a little so he can see better.]

[Eve's wearing a black drop-waist dress with a blue sash matching the one on her partner's. She stops when she spots a familiar face. Ah...]

Have you managed to talk to them yet?

[innocent_blue]

[Spins around at the sound of the voice and gives the other girl a really confused look for a moment before recognition dawns on her face.]

Eve-chan! [And now you are receiving a hug, whether you like it or not, I'm very sorry.]

Not yet! But I think I'm getting closer!

[Eve's expression doesn't even really change at the hug. This is, like 50% less weird than the last surprise hug she got from Rinslet.]

How can you tell?

[It was getting late but not so late that Gala was devoid of guests when Atem decided he had had enough. Though he didn't regret coming, the festive event doing much to lift his spirits from the pit they had sunk into in the last few days, there was no avoiding a few awkward encounters as the night wore on and the pharaoh couldn't help dwelling on them.

He follows the path through the park on his way out when he happens upon this interesting scene. Mizuno personality radiates through the dark even at a distance so bright that Atem can't help but stop for a moment.]

You may not have luck with anyone but the owls at this time of night. [If she turns to look, she'll find the diminutive foreigner richly clad in a modern men's wear that had the look of something tailored especially for him.]

[innocent_blue]

[A voice she doesn't recognize catches Mizuno off guard and she turns to blink at Atem.

And almost immediately frowns and looks a little uncertain, taking a quick step backwards and setting herself up in a slightly more defensive stance.]

...I know. I like all birds equally...

[Tries to pretend like she didn't just freak out at seeing this guy that she knows killed another guy here, weh.]

[Well that was strange. What he had said was a bit negative but he didn't think it was particularly offensive. Her poise, the look in her eyes, it could be a trick of the shadows but Atem was perceptive enough to know better even without understanding why.]

I'm rather fond of them as well, although my family has a particular affinity for falcons. [He crosses his arms, maintaining his distance. No sense in being anything but cordial until he knew more.]
