Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

Chika-san, you look great! [It may be old fashioned, but it feels a lot more formal than what Minako was wearing, or at least in her opinion that's how it was.] But really? That's good to hear. I don't know if events like this happen often, but it'd be a shame if people weren't excited, right?

[ Well, yes, that's true. Chika's dress was definitely a formal dress. There was no way around that. ]

And yeah, stuff like this doesn't really happen all that often. Most of the time we only get parties and stuff during certain holidays. So this is definitely nice. I definitely think we all needed it.

[evokes]

Yeah, same here. After everything that's happened, I could definitely use something fun like this. [What better way to cheer up than a party, right?] But parties during holidays huh... What's the next holiday that's coming up where people hold stuff like this? It'll be something to look forward to at least.

[ Chika blinks, before letting out a small giggle. ]

Honestly? I have no clue. I'm not really that familiar with the western holidays... which seems to be what this place focuses on.

Maybe Halloween?

Halloween? That's all the way in October, right? [MAAAAAN so much for another get together like this.]

[ Chika nods with a smile. ]

Yeah. It is.

... Then again, for all I know there might be something in September too. I only got here around November last year.

[evokes]

I really hope so. Waiting all the way until September for something like this again would be such a bummer.

[scatterflower]

[ Chika giggles. ]

Yeah. I know what you mean. With everything going on, you'd think it'd feel like time was flying by, but months are still a pretty long time to wait for things.

[evokes]

Tell me about it! I feel like so much has happened here already, but I've only been here for a few months. If I have to wait even longer for something nice like this, I'm gonna go crazy.

[scatterflower]

Yeah.

Well... maybe we'll find something out soon then. I mean, who knows, maybe there's some super special Death City holiday in a couple of weeks that no one told us about.

[ She doesn't think so, but hey, maybe they would get lucky with that. ]

[evokes]

Haha, maybe! If nothing else, I guess we can always just take things into our own hands again, right?

[scatterflower]

[ Chika beams at that, nodding. ]

Yeah. We could always do that. I mean, who says you need to have a holiday to throw a party?

[evokes]

Yeah, exactly! A few Kishin eggs and witches can't be enough to stop us from having a good time now and then.

No. They really can't!

[ Though that does bring something to Chika's mind. ]

How long are you going to wait before going on another mission?

[evokes]

[Minako blinks, a little started at the question, and smiles somewhat sheepishly.] I'm... not that sure yet, honestly. Whenever I feel comfortable with going on one again I guess.

[scatterflower]

[ Chika nods. That's... well, that's really the only answer that Chika could really expect. All things considered. ]

Yeah. That definitely sounds like the best idea. I mean... I can't even to begin to imagine what it must've been like.

[ Meaning the last mission, obviously. ]

[evokes]

It wasn't pleasant, to say the least. I wouldn't recommend that kind of experience to anyone. [And that's the understatement of the century.] What about you though? How have your missions been before, if you've been on any I mean.

[scatterflower]

[ Chika nodded. ]

They've been okay. I mean, most of my missions haven't gone horribly. Other than one of the first ones I did... but we ran into a Witch that time so that's to be expected.

But my more recent missions went a lot better.

[evokes]

I guess Witches like to cause trouble for missions a lot... But that's good to hear that your missions went well! At least you've got some good experience under your belt now, right?

[scatterflower]

Yeah, exactly.

And honestly, that probably wasn't a good mission for me to go on for the first one anyway.

We were kinda raiding a Witches Outpost, so... umm... we should've been more prepared, even if we only thought there was one or two there.

[evokes]

Oh, I see... Well, all's well that ends well, right? And now I bet you've learned from your mistakes.

[scatterflower]

[ Chika nodded. ]

Yeah. I definitely learned from that. To try to avoid going into stuff that I'm not ready to handle.

[evokes]

I should try to use your experience as advice for what I do too. You're the senior here, after all.

[scatterflower]

Sure! I don't mind letting you know some things. Or answering any questions if you have them. Feel free to ask me anything and I'll try to do my best to answer them.

Awesome! Let's see if I can think up of a good question now... [HMMM.] How hard are the missions usually? I mean, I'm guessing that you get more difficult ones the stronger you are, but simple missions aren't usually supposed to end with being-kidnapped-by-a-Witch-hard, right?
