Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

Yeah. I definitely learned from that. To try to avoid going into stuff that I'm not ready to handle.

I should try to use your experience as advice for what I do too. You're the senior here, after all.

Sure! I don't mind letting you know some things. Or answering any questions if you have them. Feel free to ask me anything and I'll try to do my best to answer them.

Awesome! Let's see if I can think up of a good question now... [HMMM.] How hard are the missions usually? I mean, I'm guessing that you get more difficult ones the stronger you are, but simple missions aren't usually supposed to end with being-kidnapped-by-a-Witch-hard, right?

[scatterflower]

Yeah. You pretty much hit the nail on the head there. In my experience, the missions I've been on have been relatively easy, unless it's one of those massive ones when half the city goes after something.

Those are always pretty difficult, no matter what part you're supposed to take in the battle.

[evokes]

Now that's good to hear. It shouldn't be so hard to get back into the swing of things then... Well, whenever Josuke and I actually decide to get back into at least. What kinds of missions are "massive" ones though?

[scatterflower]

Well, umm... attack on witch compounds, mass swarms of Kishin eggs attacking cities. Stuff like that.

[ Not to mention the whole rescue mission for those who were experimented on that just happened. ]

[evokes]

Okay, gotcha. Those definitely sound like pretty big missions already, so I guess it figures. [She stretches her arms in front of her.] But enough about that! We won't have much fun at a party if we just keep talking about the serious stuff.

[scatterflower]

[ Chika giggles. You're completely right, Minako. Time to go for less serious things! ]

Yeah, you're right. Sorry about that.

[ Chika grins, smiling a bit more. ]

So, has there been anyone here you've thought about dancing with yet?

[evokes]

It's fine, it's fine. I'm the one who asked after all. [At the question though, Minako's cheeks may or may not be turning the tiniest bit red.]

Oh, just my partner and all. Aside from him, I haven't really thought about who else to dance with...

[scatterflower]

[ Chika grins. ]

Oh. So you and Josuke-san are officially partners? You're pretty luck to find someone that quickly.

[ It made sense that he was her partner, since he was the one that she went on a mission with before, after all. ]

[evokes]

Yep, even filled out a form and everything! Tell me about it though; I was just thinking about how I needed to get a partner when I met him too. I guess fate was just on my side that day.

[scatterflower]

That's really lucky. I was looking for a partner for what seems like ever before Zero and I became partners.

[ She sighs. ]

Of course, he's gone now, so I'm right back to square one when it comes to finding someone to partner with.

[evokes]

Oh man, really? That sucks. Have you had any luck in finding a new partner?

[scatterflower]

Not yet, no.

... But I think part of my issue is that I find it really easy to resonate with people. So finding a weapon I can resonate with isn't a major factor in deciding to be partners with someone.

[evokes]

Hmm, I see. What in particular are you looking for in a partner then?

[scatterflower]

Hmm... well, I guess someone that I get along with would definitely be good.

[ Chika pauses for a moment. ]

And I guess since I've been training with swords lately, the person being a weapon like that would probably help out too. But I think someone I get along with without butting heads too much is definitely a plus.

[evokes]

Yeah, I can't imagine trying to partner up with someone I didn't get along with. [Except who wouldn't you get along with Minako, you like talking to everyone.] But I'd say that's a pretty good start! You can always try asking for someone like that at the training gatherings right, or even on the network?

[scatterflower]

Yeah. I'm definitely going to be asking a few people if they want to go on missions with me at the next morning training.

I mean, there's no better test of how well we can work together than an easish mission, right?

[evokes]

Yep! There's no way to know until you try after all. Here's hoping you'll be able to find someone easily!

[scatterflower]

[ Chika shrugs and stretches a bit. ]

So, on a different topic, where is Josuke-san anyway? I thought I would've seen him around here somewhere by now.

[evokes]

Hmm, I don't know. If he's not already here though, I'm sure he's on his way.

[scatterflower]

[ Chika looked around for a few moments, before shrugging her shoulders. ]

Oh well. I guess I'll just have to find him and say hi some other time then. I haven't had a chance to speak to him since he got here.

It's been that long, huh? Hopefully you'll be able to meet up with him sometime soon then.

[scatterflower]

Yeah. I sure hope so.

[ But now that she shouldn't be anywhere near as busy, she should be able to. ]
