Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

[not like senji has ever really been happy for years now, always something inside of him is keeping him from what, whether it be anger or his trust issues, who knows.]

People make their own destiny? Yeah, that sounds better, and whether it's living or dying it's up to them.

[ saya laughs again, this time more amused ]

[he chuckles again.]

The fuck kinda shit you got into that makes you think this way anyways? You had to have encountered some messed up stuff.

[ Saya's smile drops again and she turns to the water. At this point, she doesn't even know what she is supposed to say anymore.

Saya hates to talk about her world with others; not because she is afraid of it, not because she traumatized (well, she is) but because what Saya hates the most is pity and "my world is worse than yours" contests.

And right now she doesn't give much of a damn. She was kidnapped by the Witches, had something stuck in her brain, she tried to kill her friends... so damn it all. ]

Apocalypse. [ she sounds very cynical when she says it ]

[...oho... that's quite interesting.

when she says that he stares at her for a moment, not really believing her- but this whole... different worlds thing must be true. he gets up from his spot, holding his beer in his hand and he takes a sip.]

...Say, wanna tell me more? That sounds kinda interesting.

Interesting. [ she laughs bitterly ]

This apocalypse was due to a disease that spread world-wide in a matter of days.

...So, what did it do to people?

[he was going to guess zombies, please tell him it's zombies-]

The disease spread through bitting and scratching, so it was extremely important to avoid contact.

The victim starts to feel dizzy, fever hits, starts coughing blood and dies. Within seconds after death, they rise again, devoid of intelligence and any sort of sensibility; they don't feel pain, they are blind and they are extremely sensitive to sound.

They are also extremely aggressive and crave for fresh human flesh.

[...wow, yup, a total zombie.]

Kuhahahaa...! [he laughed at that, actually, not weirded out at all by the realization that her world was zombie filled.]

No fucking way... zombies?! Buahaha! That's so great- shit! I wonder what killing 'em felt like!

[ Saya doesn't answer. Instead, she gets up and approaches him.

And if she catching him distracted, she will rise her hand to slap him. ]

[well, he was actually distracted for the moment, but that was because she was suddenly approaching him. he was about to tell her to back off- to get away from him due to how being so close to girls makes him feel, so overly flustered and uncomfortable, but then she just-

slapped him.

he was absolutely stunned for a moment, unable to even move after that.... but she just did the wrong thing. no one slaps kiyomasa senji and gets away with it.

slowly he straightens up, turning to look at her, his one eye narrowing and before she knows it he lashes out at her, grabbing her arms with both his hands and he actually hoists her up. good thing there was a pool in front of him, because he's walking to the edge with her and holding her so if he drops her she'll fall right into the deep end.]

You fuckin' bitch, you got a death wish? Do you got any idea who I am? I'm Crow, the worst deadman in the Deadman Wonderland prison back home and I ain't afraid to cut you to pieces either.

[ And Saya doesn't care. Honestly, she is at the point she doesn't care about a lot of things, but she is a Weapon, she has been in Death City for a lot longer than him, she is certain she has a lot more missions on her too.

And she isn't afraid of water.

Nor afraid of some big bad guy who thinks she gives one damn about who he is and who he was. She had her share of that back at home and she has had her share here.

And she survived a zombie outbreak.

Damn if she will look weak.


And suddenly both her legs move, one to wrap around one of his and other to wrap around his waist, bringing her body boobs all over his chest and her dress can barely hold them - this dress is definitively a bad idea closer to his and not letting go off him. If he drops her, he will come along. ]

[ there are tears at the corner of her eyes, yes, but it's not because of him. ]

[this is worse than the carnival corpse to him, he can't handle women!!

he was so ready to drop her, no he was so ready to drown her in the goddamn pool for daring to even touch him, but as soon as he grabbed her she.... did something that was so unexpected. he was stunned yet again as he saw her wrap her legs around him, his face growing impossibly red at the sudden contact, especially feeling her chest against his own. his breath was taken away at that, he wasn't used to this kind of stuff, okay! he might be a big convict, a murderer that would sooner rip someone apart rather than be nice to them and give them a second chance but this... this was just.....!]

[she was ready to fight it seems, she didn't want to give up, and even in the midst of this he found such a trait admirable, respectful, which is why he suddenly didn't want to drop her into the water. however, having her chest against his, seeing those tears in her eyes, it was suddenly all too much and he did feel himself losing his balance from it, but he fell backward, making an annoyed grunt as he did and landed on his back.]

....Can't be serious.... [he groaned after laying there, the girl obviously on top of her after the fall.]

[ when he loses balance and falls backwards, actually Saya clings harder to him as to brace herself for the impact. Of course she ends up falling on top of him but only few seconds after she moves to rise her pink head.

She blinks curiously (mostly a "why the hell did you even fall back" sort of look) until Saya realizes just the position they were in and his face red. She sits up, huffing and finally remembers her dress, before she quickly pulls her dress up to cover herself more - only then she climbs off him.

It was her turn to blush, a bit self-conscious, but she tries to keep her cool. ]

You probably don't get it since you are such a badass murder, but I was normal. I was sixteen, trying to figure out what sort of job I wanted, studying to get the best grades and trying to show my parents I was an amazing student. And in a day I saw my classmates eating each other alive, was forced to kill their bodies or leave some behind for death. I saw my own parents sacrificing themselves to protect me.

[ Saya gets up ] I live with this every day, no matter how far away I am from it! And it's not like you would understand!

But that is not funny!! [ that is why she has tears at the corner of her eye - and speaking of which, she quickly wipes them away ]

[thank god she was at least off of him now, having her against him like that was just too much, way too much, and it was a good thing they hadn't landed in the pool, seeing her wet would have made everything so much worse.

but, it seemed like she was talking now, getting after him for what he had said before, and that's just how it was in his world, it was normal to him, everyone was fucked up they were liars and cheats and to him he could care less if they died. seems like to her she was the opposite, and he had... almost forgotten that the world had been normal once.

so he stayed on the ground, slowly sitting up and his blush disappearing as he watched her as she spoke. but he wasn't convinced, he felt no sympathy... perhaps there was a little bit, but it was hidden, deep down in his heart where he refused to let anything out that could be considered weakness.]

Aren't you just fucking special.... [he muttered that, the venom dripping from his words.]

To some, they didn't have that kinda great life even before it all went to shit. Some of us didn't have parents, were poor, and got beat up and called a punk wherever they went, didn't think they'd ever be something in this world.

[still... this bitch hits hard, he has to admit that, he rubbed the side of his face where she had smacked him.]

...I've seen people eat each other and they weren't even infected, just did it 'cause they were so fucked in the head they wanted to kill that way. I've seen liars and cheaters that would assault others, kidnap them, and even murder small children just to get what they want. At least in your world there was an explanation for all that fucked up shit, they were all infected, sick, but where I was from... they were just normal people.

I preferred staying in prison than dealing with them. [....he looked away though, knowing the feeling of having your life messed up, feeling like everything was crumbling.] ....m'sorry.

[ it's not about how fucked up the world can be, but how fucked up it became in just one day. For someone who never ever dealt with it or actually saw it, someone who never met that reality, suddenly all fell down on her.

And it's not just that. But Saya's PTSD doesn't allow her to accept things so easily. Everything is screwed up, even when it's not. And she knows it's not, but she can't see it like that - and that is the worse for her.

At his apologize, she chuckles a bit bitterly. ]

No, you aren't. But I accept your apology, anyway.

[ Saya does add, though. ] I'm not really sorry I slapped you. Though, that was sort of automatic. [ it was. Saya didn't think it through, honestly ]

[oh come on! senji just grins now, moving to stand back up, his hand still against his face but he seems rather amused now instead of bitter and irritated. he shrugged his shoulders, pulling his hand away from that sensitive spot and all that remained was that lop-sided smile.]

Hey, when I apologize I mean it, like everything I say. Why would I be some kinda pussy that would admit something halfway and not have some meaning behind it? [BELIEVE HIM.

and as for that other part-] Buahaha! Shit, you kiddin' me? You seriously slapped the sense back into me, you hit hard, it's great! That was like some kinda slap from a gladiator, I mean damn! Good job, right dead center!

[ a slap from a gladiator? Saya blinks before she laughs, covering her mouth so she won't be too loud ] You are happy about that? You got so pissed off you threatened a teenager that you'd gut her.

[ though, the girl looks at her hand. She was really weak before she got here but now she could even handle someone bigger than her like that. Saya would smirk but she holds back ]

You know, screaming that you are a big bad man doesn't work with most people here. Before, I'd probably be scared, but now, that sort of thing- [ she shrugs. She has met a lot of crazies in her world and this world ] - it's hardly scary.

I was pissed in the moment, but thinking back on it- yeah it was a fuckin' good slap.

...Come on, you really think I was goin' for a scare factor? Where I'm from we're all fucked up prisoners, none of us have been scared of the other for a long time.

What I mean is - here we fight witches, kishin eggs and even humans of late. We can handle ourselves pretty good. People will fight back and they won't be as weak as you might think.
