Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

[ His smile grows a little wider into a grin, probably the most genuine it's been since what happened to the two of them. At the same time his grip on her hand grows the tiniest bit tighter, although not enough to be uncomfortable. ]

Nah, it's been fun enough here. The food's pretty good too, ain't it?

Glad to hear it. I guess I'll be able to tell if a party is good thanks to you from now on. [Feeling him tighten his grip, she squeezes back just a bit, laughing a little once he brings up the topic of food.]

Tell me about it! I ate a ton honestly; my stomach was practically groaning earlier.

Hey, hey, will you even still be able to dance if you're that full of food? [ It's a joke though.. ] I don't want to make you start feeling sick because of it, y'know, that'd suck in the middle of a party like this! If you wanna sit around some more instead, that's fine with me too.

Oh, I'll be fine, don't worry! It'll take more than a little dancing to make me sick. [Or more like the player would scream if they let Minako or Minato fall into the Tired/Sick status...........] What about you though? You sure you're up for a dance or two?

Heh, I'm Josuke Higashikata, I was born ready!

[ Who knows what his name has to do with anything but jojos sure like saying it, okay.. he just walks a little to properly lead her more onto the dance floor though. Sure, he has no idea how to actually properly dance in pairs, but.. whatever. He's sure it'll be fun no matter what. ]

[At least Minako finds it funny IT'S GOOD TO HAVE CONFIDENCE!! Even if it just comes from... his name apparently.... Following him along to the dance floor though, Minako raises her arms in what she thinks is what you're supposed to do for dancing like this, smiling a little apologetically.]

I should probably let you know though, I don't really have any idea how to dance formally and all. The most I know came from watching movies or TV.

.. Well, me neither. [ It brings a little bit of relief. It means he can't mess up in front of her if neither of them know, right? So he just does the same, putting his hand on her waist and holding her other one. ]

I think it's something like this though.. who cares what everyone else thinks, we just gotta try, right?

[She laughs lightly, a little relieved as well. They must have made quite a sight, banged up and struggling to just get the form for the dance right, but she didn't really care. After all, she was having fun, and it looked like Josuke was too--that's what really mattered in the end.]

Right! It'd be weirder if people were paying super close attention to others' dancing. I'll just say this in advance: I'm really sorry if I end up stepping on your feet.

Woah, woah, I dunno if I'm ready in that case..!

[ He's stepping back a little as he says it, as if he's trying to avoid her stepping on his feet, but it's obvious he's just messing around to keep her cheerful too. He's grinning widely, so it's easy to tell, he even laughs as he looks back to her. ]

Nah, I've had worse before.. I think I can handle you stepping on my toes a few times. [ They're already still slightly banged up either way.. ]

Hey, if you do that, then I'm gonna try to step on your toes for sure! [She's obviously joking as well, laughing all the while.]

If you say so. Just let me know if I accidentally hurt you or something like that.

Oh, don't worry. The entire room's gonna hear my screams of pain.

[ But with that last joke he's at least starting to dance.. somewhat awkwardly, but whatever, he's seen this on TV in the kind of shows his mom likes! Just move around like this, keep stepping, actually trying to avoid stepping on her feet as well (it's pretty hard....) as he leads her. ]

[Naturally, she follows his lead, though she's also paying pretty close attention to her feet. She doesn't really want to step on his feet after all... Still, even though it's a bit awkward and she's mostly going by what she's seen on TV or in movies, it's pretty nice. It's kind of fun now that she's getting used to it, and it's... Honestly nice, just being able to relax with a friend like this.]

[ He's thinking the same, really. Even as he's still trying to focus and make sure he doesn't step on her toes either (it takes a lot of focus for someone with huge feet like him, okay) he's already enjoying himself. It's simple, but it's.. fun, really. Like his stay in this place wouldn't nearly have been as much fun without having this girl as his partner, a cute girl, a great friend..

It makes him unable to stop smiling, either way. ]

Hey, Minako. Thanks for everything, 'kay?

[She's been grinning from ear to ear the whole time too, and she doesn't think that's going to stop anytime soon.]

Aw, I hardly did anything, y'know, but you're very welcome. And... thank you for everything too.

Let's make sure to hang out sometime again even without going on a mission! [ He's dancing a liiittle less when he talks, mostly since he's pretty sure he'll just stand on her toes if he dances all our while talking since he's not paying enough attention.. ]

Yeah, definitely! I haven't had this much fun in a while. [It's not like her day-to-day life here wasn't fun or anything, but this was... It was better. Special, almost.] There's a lot of different kinds of places here in the city too, so I'm sure hanging out anywhere would be great.

Then it's a deal. I figured I've gotta get some more training in after all the shit that happened, but.. I'll free up some time for you anytime, you just gotta call or stop by!
