Tonight, the park is full of life. Lights show the way towards the swimming pool, where you can find large white tents set up, all connected to each other. Music, loud chatter and laugher come from them, and inside you may find Guests and Natives enjoying the night together, a rare sight after recent events happening in the City. But tonight, all of that is to be forgotten. Maybe.

Welcome to the Summer Gala.

Feel free to leave your coat by the Coat room, listening to music (some songs are even played by Guests such as Karina, Shinji, Nanami, Hamel and John), dance together (don’t forget the Partner’s dance!), enjoy good food and good drinks, and perhaps after take a stroll by the swimming pool and the park.

[ Josuke's actually just arriving too. Even though he's actually wearing a suit - including tie and all, okay - he doesn't.. really look the role, considering he has his hands casually shoved in the pockets of his pants and he's still walking his usual dork walk instead of looking dignified. He's only just recovered from his wounds and stay in the hospital here, but no way he was going to miss out on this, especially since he promised Minako and all.

But then he hears that voice, turns his head to see who it is and..

O... oi, you're that chick from before?! [ SHE LOOKS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. HIS WORLD IS CRASHING. ]

[...oh, that's real nice. Someone she wasn't exactly enthralled to see, but she figures Josuke is actually a step above the rest of the people she knows here. So, she's only staring at him for a moment when he actually called her out, a bit of a frown coming up. Yeah, that's a real nice way to greet someone, but she's going to wave that off for now, and walk up to him, poking his chest a bit.]

You know there's nicer ways of expressing your surprise other then that little show you put on. [And now she's reaching up to grab his hair, patting it a little.] Also, I thought you would have styled this too, how do you get it to stay like that?

[ He's still struck with surprise. Minatsuki, how can you look so normal when you're so crazy, it's weird, okay!! He's used to people looking weird but they were all weird people so it matched, this is just.. weird for sure..

At least the question slowly seeps through to his mind, and he shakes his head to get his senses back. ]

Uh-- hairspray, of course! Tons of it! Besides, this is styled, do you know how much time it takes me to get it like this in the morning?!

Feh, hairspray? I just assumed you slapped on a bunch of hair gel to actually get it to stay like that. Goes to show how long I've been away from the real world.

[And like she actually wants to hear his troubles of making his hair, it just sorta sounds dumb in the first place. Either way, she has a question that she needs to get off her chest...]

...the hell are you doing here, anyways? Don't tell me you suckered some poor girl into doing your bidding, did you?

Hah, it's that weird I'm here?! [ Sure, he does know it's weird for him to wear a suit, he's still not entirely over that fact either.. ties are the weirdest thing in the world, let him tell you about it. ]

I promised my partner I'd go with her, of course, it's got nothing to do with suckering! Geez, you think I'm some skeevy kinda guy? [ He huffs. ]

Well, I dunno, you don't seem like you'd really come to one of these things in the first place. [Same could be said about you, Minatsuki. But wait, she's blinking at his next statement, her eyes going into a squint.]

...you have a partner already? Hehe...what'd you have to do to sucker her into joining with you? She must be really fucking nice or something, guess I should be glad for ya. [So she says with a sadistic smile on her face.]

[ Hey, at least he's social, okay!! Unlike Minatsuki. It's just that he's more the meeting on the street than formal gala kind of social, that's true, but he's.. trying.. ]

Yeah, she's nice. [ Let's confirm that first okay. He likes Minako a whole lot, even if he still feels guilty for getting her caught up in that mess of a mission.. ] Her name's Minako, dunno if you've met her yet, but she's a super kind girl. Might wanna talk to her either way so you can make some normal friends. [ HE THINKS THAT'S WHAT SHE MIGHT NEED.. ] Not like I suckered her into being my partner, what kinda skeevy guy do you think I am?!

[Hey, there's nothing wrong with being as anti-social as she is- but at least she's trying to make an effort to be a little nicer on the side! Even if it is...horribly...failing on her part...]

...and what's wrong with the friends I have, huh!? [She seems to have taken offense to that, Josuke!] You saying I don't have any normal friends to actually call my own!? Wow, you're an asshole! ...but, shit, I guess I'll look out for that "Minako" or, whatever... [Again, pushing a finger into his chest.] ...and I didn't say you were skeevy, I'm actually sorta happy for ya. Pfft, yeah, right...

Minatsuki moodswings more often than anything he's ever seen, he can hardly keep up.. is she being nice or not, he doesn't even know anymore, Josuke just looks extremely puzzled as he blinks for a moment or two. ]

Wait, you really were happy for me?

[vulgaris]

You just don't ask that sort of question to her, Josuke! First it takes her a moment to register what he just said, then her own cheeks turn pinkish as she turns away from him, a loud huff coming out of her.]

O-Of course I am, idiot! What, did you think I shouldn't be happy for a friend?!

[unbreakably]

[ It takes a moment for him to fully realise it, but then he moves towards her slowly, moving an arm around the top of her shoulders like he's headlocking her, but it's actually a pretty loose grip and there's nothing bad or malicious about it since he's just grinning at her. ]

Heh, man, I didn't know! Why were you a hiding a cute side like this from me all along, Minatsuki? [ HE'S NEVER GOING TO LET IT GO NOW.. ]
