Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 25th.

[It appears as though her prey is occupied, drinking down some water after a match. She raises her head a bit from cover, her eyes glinting with mischief before ducking down again and slinking forward a little more. The predator has to be cautious as to avoid capture, the tail having to remain low as to not signal her approach.]

[Man, drinks tasted better after kicking a little ass! Kanji quietly sighed and capped the bottle, turned to check out how Tifa was doing some ways away.]

[As he contemplated maybe coming up for a rematch, his back was turned. The prey was not as perceptive as usual this early in the morning...]

[She slinked a few paw steps closer, her adrenaline rising. The prey wasn't focused on her presence; excellent...]

[With a short dash, she closed the gap between them and pounced, high enough to knock him over.]

[He wondered if he should come right up and surprise her, like an ambush or something! Yeah, that'd make it interesting, and if he catches her unaware, he'd have the initial advantage. Awesome...]

...

[Was he hearing some quick footsteps just n-- WHAM!]

AUGHKK--!!

[Wolf to the back! He went down, and nearly got a mouthful of dirt and grass to show for it. His soul wavelength coiled, turned inward, ready for a shockwave, and his eyes were steely when they looked over his shoulder--]

...Huh!?

[To be greeted by the furball. The wavelength unfurled.]

Shit, ya almost gave me a heart attack!

[And hello to you too, Kanji! She gives him a lick over his cheek]

[Wolf kisses, nooooaaaarrgh-oh who are we kidding, he loves it. Kanji propped up his upper half a little on an elbow and reached back to ruffle the fur behind a snowy white ear.]

Saw you haulin' tail in Norway. S'cool to see you got out a'right. Y'didn't get wet fur, didja?

[Her lets her tail thwap the ground back and forth, rubbing her head against his head as he petted. To answer his question, she nods. Yup, she got out before the tsunami hit. She ended up in the clinic for the evening to provide extra body heat to near hypothermia patients.]

[People were probably staring, but he didn't give a damn.]

You're a good girl, Ammy.

[He paused. He'd heard someone call her that before and that just kind of slipped out.]

Uh- Amaterasu.

[She waves a paw. Oh, you don't have to call her by her full name; the nickname will do!]

You sayin' it's okay...? [Well, she didn't seem bothered by it, so that's what he could assume.]

[He paused, and his arm lowered. He hadn't realized how short of breath he was until then.]

A'right, y-you're a little heavy. 's gettin' hard to breathe...

[... Ooops! She's completely forgotten about that. Most people just try lifting her off after a while!]

[She moves off his back and sits down besides him, watching.]

[And he'd push himself upright, brushing grass blades from his shirt.]

Thanks. ...My turn!

[And then he'd shove her over for tummy rubs. He couldn't do that while prone!]

[She lets out a yelp, but then wriggles around on the ground, panting happily at the belly rubs.]

[ALL THE BELLY RUBS! Consider it payback for the tackle! Though if Kanji didn't know any better, he'd suspect that this 'match' was more in the wolf's favor...]

[Yup! It definitely is! You have played into her trap Kanji! Be engulfed by the adorable!!]

[Hook, line, and sinker! Have a scratch under the chin while he helped himself to a little squish of a paw pad. He'll give the sunshine a little time on her tummy.]

I gotta wonder if you come down here to train or because there's food n' pets.

[She huffs. Of course she comes to train! The pets and food just end up overriding the importance.]

[He chuckled. Thought so.]

Hey, if I were you, I'd be doin' the same thing! [...Possibly with more rolling in the grass.]

Oh yeah... y'got that message from that Deathscythe guy about the field trip? You gonna go?

[She stares up at him, blinking. Makes sense.]

[Ammy nodded her head. Yup! Field trip field trip!]

Cool. I ain't lookin' forward to shakin' sand outta my shoes n' hair every ten minutes, though.

[And you, Ammy, will probably need a bath after the field trip.]
