Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 25th.

[[Trying to be positive and hopeful, Bakura scans the group, hoping to find someone that either he knows, or someone that looks like maybe he could become friends with. Which is, of course, anyone.]]

[Hello, friend! Loki hesitates for a moment before approaching, but is pleased to see that Bakura's apparent foul mood from earlier has lifted.]

Are you still lacking a partner, Bakura?

[[Looking almost a touch sheepish there]] Yeah. It's sort of a tricky thing to find someone, I think. I got really lucky the first time! [[Just a touch of emo there, but he's mostly over the loss. Mostly.]]

[Loki picks up on the sadness and wonders if Bakura's partner died or was sent home. For a moment, he considers asking, but then decides he doesn't want to open what may very well be an upsetting can of worms. It's usually best not to upset your friends.

Besides, Loki dragged himself out of bed today for a reason.]

If you've had a partner before, then you must know how to achieve resonance!

Un! [[nods with a grin]] You've never tried before?

No. I haven't given much thought to finding a partner, since I won't be going on many missions. But to remain completely unable to perform the technique -- that is foolishness. We are in a war, and if I must fight, I will use every tool at my disposal.

[shiromadoushi]

[[blink blink]] You're not planning on going on missions?

[attentionwenches]

Of course not. I was hardly considered a warrior in Asgard, and that was when I had magic! Here, I am armed with little more than a Meister ability. If the battle is brought to Death City, I shall defend it of course. But I'm not equipped to handle the sort of combat one sees during a mission.

[shiromadoushi]

[[blink. Blink blink]] ...And a Weapon... you don't go it alone in that sort of case.

[[Really, did Loki think that Bakura was somehow any more a warrior type who could handle combat? Most people would laugh at the very idea of it.]]

[But Bakura is a Weapon, which means he doesn't have to worry as much about the physical side of combat. He can just transform and trust his Meister to do it.]

Even so, I'm not much better with a weapon than I am unarmed. I'd rather leave the missions to those more suited to battle.

[[a very good point. Which made it somewhat ironic that he was the one who often suggested that he and whomever he was working with go out on missions.]]

Even an unconventional Weapon that you wouldn't use like a normal one? Something you didn't have to really be in the thick of batter to use, I mean.

That sort of weapon would fit me rather better, I suppose. Still, I would hate to be a liability to proper warriors. I may well do more harm than good.

[He shakes his head. He's just bad at fighting. And doesn't really like the idea of putting himself at risk like that, not when he can justify staying behind to himself.]

I don't think you would have to worry about that. Most of the time really, any help is better than none. And there's training too, so even if you aren't so good, you can get better. I'm pretty bad with almost everything, but there are a lot of patient people who've been helping me so I'm not useless.

[But that would involve lots of hard work, and also putting himself in danger. But Loki doesn't particularly feel like explaining how little those two prospects appeal to him right now, not when Bakura is so earnest.]

Surely you can't be as bad as all that. I admire your dedication -- you have a real fighting spirit!

[[rubs the back of his neck, a bit sheepish]] Aaa... thank you.

Ne... did you want to try resonating? Even if you're not looking to get into too many fights...

Oh yes, I would like that very much! That's what I came here today to learn, after all.

Aaaa.. it's sort of like... reaching out with your mind to the other person and trying to overlap... sort of? It's a little hard to explain...

[...yeah nope he's got no idea how to do that.]

[[nods]] Hold out your hand? [[smiles.

And the moment Loki does, Bakura will transform, and a white plastic ten sided die that looks like it's either on the verge of shattering or has been very carefully put back together after having shattered will deposit itself into the waiting hand, a thin red string reaching out to anchor it to Loki's palm]]

[There's a sharp intake of breath as Bakura all but disappears. Loki's seen Weapon transformations before, but not often enough for the surprise to have worn off. And this transformation was so drastic -- what was that? Loki takes the die between two fingers and holds it up to his eye, then breaks into a laugh.]

You're so small!

[shiromadoushi]

[[if a die could pout, Bakura's would be. Confusion, he was expecting. But to be laughed at...?]]

'Dice aren't supposed to be big...!'

[attentionwenches]

How am I supposed to fight with you? Do I throw you at the enemy?

[shiromadoushi]

'Not like that,' [[Though Bakura did smile at that idea]] 'You roll the die, and for an attack, 1 or 0 triggers an energy blast. You just aim where you want the blast to go and it I think only hurts the thing that you target. Though it doesn't seem to work well on physical targets, just kishin and things like that.'

[attentionwenches]

Then it is a game of chance?

[Loki turns the die around in his fingers, looking at how high the numbers go. A one out of five chance of an attack? Sounds risky to him.]

[shiromadoushi]

'Not really. I can make the die fall on the number I need. Though sometimes it's a 1 instead of a 0, which isn't as powerful. It's only when I can't focus that it's random.'
