Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 25th.

[He is leaning in the shade of a nearby patch of trees, taking in all those fools and their poor, silly attempts of teaming up with a dark, unpleasant stare.

He has no intentions of forming a partnership but he is in need of a Weapon and he wants to see what's available before he makes a choice.]

[Shindou might look a little lost but he's actually only hesitating, wondering who's a Meister that he could ask to practice with him. So have him wander by, looking around him a bit.]

[He sizes the kid who has wandered close to him up for maybe a second before he dismisses him as unimportant. Unlike the original one this Bakura has no charitable bone in his body so the thought of speaking up and maybe helping what seems like a lost brat never crosses his mind.

Until he remembers Yuugi, that is. The chosen one of the puzzle is no bigger than this kid and has proven to be annoyingly capable. Annoyingly capable enough that he wouldn't mind using somebody like him for his own goals as well, actually.

...

Giving Takuto another look, he calls out to him.]

Hey. Are you a Meister or a Weapon?

[kaminotakuto]

[Shindou glances at him, a bit unsure because he didn't expect anyone to call out to him like that. He pauses only briefly before he answers.]

I'm a Weapon.

[And then suddenly it hits. Maybe this person wants to practice? That would be nice. He's a guest of Shibusen too so there's no reason for him to be wary or anything, nope.]

Are you a Meister...?

[He smirks at the question.]

Of many things and then some. What kind of Weapon are you?

[kaminotakuto]

[He's a little hesitant to admit it since his Weapon form is a little...]

Um. I'm a conductor's baton.

[feelsgoodinyou]

A baton? What can it do?

[kaminotakuto]

As a Weapon? I'm not entirely sure to be honest.

[He says this a bit sheepishly. But hey, he's new to this whole Weapon thing so it's acceptable, right...?]

Maybe you should start with trying to figure it out, then.

I suppose but there's only so much I can do by myself. I've learned how to transform already only I don't know how useful a baton can be.

[He observes the stranger in the dark corner. The young man seemed to be collecting information much like he usually did, analyzing what is available.

Well... the bigger the shadow, the brighter the light shines on it. Kei gives a step, looking his serious right to business self]

Are you looking for a weapon?

[He gives the newcomer a neutral look and the nods.]

I am. You are one?

Yes. I am a scepter... would this weapon suit your fighting strategies? [Kei speaks in his colloquial voice, his eyes observing the other quite closely.]

A scepter? How is that a weapon?

A weapon does not need to have a direct contact to make a hit. [Kei explains] In my case, my attacks tend to be more of a long-range.

[Then he sort of looks to the side, obviously not very proud with this] And my previous meister used one of the edges to give the final thrust on the opponents.

[He looks everything but convinced. Okay, so Malik had been pretty damn dangerous with his rod, but this guy's words don't make it sound like it is the same.]

What kind of long-range attacks are we talking about?

I blind the opponents, have a protective barrier, and for last shoot rays into the enemy.

Hm. [He considers for a moment but then shakes his head.]

That's not enough.

[leafe_of_light]

[He gives a faint smile, nodding at Bakura. Well, at least the boy was honest] Very well.

[feelsgoodinyou]

[He crosses his arm in front of his chest and returns the nod. Ignoring an offered weapon is not his style, but playing defensive tactics is even less.]

Much luck finding somebody who's better with strategies like that.

Thank you. [He gives a tired sigh] Yes, most people which I find tend to prefer a more direct way of dealing with their opponents. [Which he felt it was stupid if there was the option of doing something else]

[He shrugs his shoulders, not caring less about somebody else's troubles.]

It seems like a lot of effort against something that can be killed easily.

Have you not been into battle before? [Kei is quite surprise at that reaction, since the battles he was in couldn't be considered "easy"]

Occasionally. [He shrugs his shoulders again. He's not going to tell every random stranger of all the things he has fought.] Most "monsters" are a lot less impressive after you get used to them.

The monsters themselves are not impressive, the trouble is the number which they come in. [Well, then again, this person looked quite young... Still, seeing someone observant of those around him usually meant a good level head.

Guess he was wrong.]
