Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 25th.

The Witch I fought evaded every attack I threw at her and countered with an unnatural strength, utilized acid in some form of magic, and summoned a giant ant to her side. Pick one.

[The mention of the familiar let her know exactly who this fool had gone up again. Cybele laughed at that and didn't bother hiding her reaction. Hands on her hips, there was a grin on her face as she took a few steps in towards Neji.]

You d'ink that just because you fight that you be on the same level as Witches? That be your first mistake, boyo.

[Coming to a stop a few feet away from Neji, she leant in to peer at him with that same grin.]

You need to get your mind down off of d'ose clouds you be sittin' on and back down 'ere.

[His fingers curl into his sleeves]

I already know that any capability I may have had has been stripped from me. You're here to tell us how to combat these situations.

[Cybele's standing there looking right back at him. There's a wide grin forming on her face, but she doesn't break the silence, only prolongs it while this fool decides what he wants to do.]

[She gives him a look that tells him otherwise, but shrugs it off with a laugh. BREW brought some funny ones with them.]

What'chu be wantin'?

How exactly does one fight a witch? All I've been ever told is to stay far away from them as they are too powerful.

[Oh, look, Cybele. It's that inquisitive little girl from before.]

Good morning, ma'am. I'm ready for your lesson.

[Oh you. Cybele remembers you. That's why she's giving you the look from the icon.]

[Half turning away, she waved the child off impatiently.]

There be nothin' for you here child. Not if you still be d'inking about those silly poisons and questions.

[ooc: I haven't forgotten about our other log! But I probably won't be able to get to it until the weekend (just need to get through this last week of prac!). I'm terribly sorry for the super long delay :( also, strangely enough, I could see Cybele eventually growing to like her LOL]

Then I'll take whatever you want to teach me, ma'am. You said it takes experience to fight a Witch... I want to know what I need to do to get strong enough to survive that experience.

I'm only a one-star Meister. If it's hard for a two-star Meister, then it'll be much harder for me.

[Young, she may be, but Hanabi is not an idealist. She knows that sometimes people can go against the odds, but generally the odds are what they are.]

Professor Stein said my Meister ability is one of the best ones for fighting, though. So if I can learn how to defend myself enough to survive, that's a good start.

The thinking is of little importance if they do not have proper instruction to go against what they are facing. That is what you are here for. Are you training them?

[He's not letting her get to him on purpose; he has a goal here. If she's not actually training, as Neji implied, then he's going to Shibusen to request her removal. He won't put up with her.]

[Yes! There you are! Loki hasn't been at morning training often, but he made the effort today for two reasons. One, he needs to practice resonance, and two, he wants to speak with the witch.

Wait, he recognizes her. He glimpsed her on Valentine's!]

[She's lazily waiting for someone to come bother her, but when they do, she discovered that they'd already had a little run-in together.

Her hand slipped to rest against her hip as she regarded him.]

Are you here to spar with us, or may we ask you questions as well?

[Cybele laughed at the question. Them, spar? That would lead with the child's death! She settles moments after, but the amusement remains.]

Witches do not spar! [It would be her death if she did fight.] But to teach!

[Nodding her head up higher, she glanced down arrogantly at him even as she answered.]
