Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

Because you look like you could really use one. Not just saying that, but you really do. You seem like someone who doesn't get enough hugs.

giving him something symmetrical would definitely brighten his day much better than a hug.]

[Whoops! Hughes dives over to try and catch Kid. Unfortunately, since he is a few steps behind, the best Hughes can do is grab Kid by the back of his jacket.
...which slips through Hughes' fingers after a couple seconds.]

Oh. Crap! Er— Sorry! Uh. [Man, his reputation with Kid is probably going down the gutter... This world clearly hates Hughes.] Um. Are you okay?

[splat on his face. it takes him a moment before he manages to sit up and rub his forehead.]

It is not like he will ever see his daughter again or be able to have a proper fatherly connection in the same way with anyone else, so every little failure at connecting with anyone younger just sort of reminds him that he will never have that again..
