Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

[Hughes somehow ended up as an instructor, too. How that happened, he is not really sure, but it probably had something to do with Gai since Gai was really convincing and the two of them were fellow Hug Brigaders.

Need tips on close range combat? Want to spar? Want to hear about his adorable daughter Elicia? Catch his attention, and he will eagerly speak with you!

He is wandering around the area making sure no funny business is going on, but he will occasionally get bored of just watching and start shadow sparring.]

Mister Hughes? Are you busy, at the moment?

[Oh, yay! An opponent!

Hughes grins.]

Hm? Nope. What's up?

[Might not be cheering too much soon, Hughes.]

If it would not be too much trouble- would you care to practice with me?

[Oh, he always loves a good fight. Sitting or standing around all day is boring. Hughes is the type that loves getting his blood pumping though.

He doubts someone unskilled would approach a supervisor in the advanced area.]

Practice? Sure. Hand-to-hand sparring, right?

Mm-hmm! My choice of weapon is not usually wise for one-on-one sparring.

[She beams- she might not really like violence, but damned if she doesn't like the adrenaline rush she gets from practicing. She bounces a little in place, and then takes a step back, falling into a low, relaxed stance.]

So then- shall we?

Hahaha. Mine aren't either. [Not that he even had daggers or a pistols here to use anyway.

Hughes is already warmed up, so he backs up a reasonable distance and raises his arms in a defensive stance.]

Let's go. [He is completely intrigued by how this spar may play out. He has never fought anyone so much smaller than him before.]

[She could find you some, Hughes. Just say the word.]

Very well.

[One of Fabiola's few advantages in a fight is her speed- which is in part due to her size, and in part due to her style of fighting. When Hughes gives the word, she darts forward, a leg coming up in a hard kick.]

Hughes is wary from the get go since he has no idea how this girl will fight, but her agility caught him by surprise. He had seen Edward move quickly, but this girl seemed much more nimble than the older Elric. He barely raises his arm in time to block the strike, and the power behind it would have easily unbalanced him if he had not held a better stance.
