Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

What sort of a Weapon are you?

[Ah, it is that gentleman that has dragons in his world. He was rather amicable enough in their conversation, and thus is actually rather pleased to see him in the flesh. He gives him a bow of the head in greeting.]

I, sir, am a Chinese Longsword. A Changdao, as it is said in the native tongue of my ancestors.

Why do you ask? Are you a Meister yourself?

[Only thing he can infer from his question.]

[After a pause, Anders gives a very awkward and unpracticed bow back.]

I'm a Meister, but I've never used a sword. ...Especially not a long one. Are you heavy?

[Of all the things to ask a dragon.]

[He shakes his head.]

My prior Meister told me that I was rather light whilst in her hands. Then again, we had resonated quite well, so that would help matters along. I am quite sure that if she was able to wield me after a while, you should be able to do so with a bit of training as well, sir.

[He says this as a means to reassure the man, who does seem to be rather well-gifted physically.]

[Anders is fit, but he's good with a staff. Even when his staff had a pointy end he didn't do much in the way of stabbing.]

So you're saying the weight depends on the... resonance. That's the bond between the Weapon and the Meister, I was told. What... What do I do? Or you do.

[That is indeed a loaded question.]

I have been told that if there is not a good enough resonance between Meister and Weapon, the weapon might become several times heavier than it should be, among several possible scenarios.

As for resonance, it is how our soul wavelengths would connect with one another by synchronizing each other's souls.

Since you are new, it would help a little if you were to be calm, attempt to be of one mind with the weapon you are attempting to synchronize with, and maintain focus. That last part is what is difficult for some, but there are a number that do very well with that.

Just so you know, it is done by both parties, so both you and your partner would have to attempt to reach out to one another as best as they can.

[He appreciated the explanation when it was taught to him. He is quite sure it should at least help him in some form.]

*Auron nodded toward the dragon.* Your partner left the city too, hunh?

[Ah. It was still a sore point for him as it was quite recent as well, but there's no hiding it.]

BREW does whatever it wants without thinking about those that are left behind in this world. Not to mention those of us that were in a very good partnership for a good while.

[He looks over toward the others that had gathered in their area.]

I saw your post. You are a more courageous sort of person that I am, I think, as you are looking for a full-out partnership amongst all these possible weapon candidates.

I suppose I could do something temporary. It'd make sense just so you can't get hurt. But to me, it felt good living and working with Koujurou. I hadn't really done that with anyone for a long time before I got here.

*Ahem* So I'll need another Weapon, sword or otherwise if I'm going to go on missions and help out. Did you want to try resonating?

[Pardon? Oh... though it was true, in a sense - He bonds to a Meister much like he would a Captain back home. And as a sword himself, it could work. But resonation first was best. He nods.]


I am quite sure that as a Zone Leader yourself, you are a very capable man. I am also in agreement in your judgment about a temporary sort of arrangement if we were to pursue this.

As for resonation, I am quite amenable to the proposition. Shall we?

[He gets up from his spot, in order to better prepare himself for this.]

*Auron backs up to give him enough space. How big of a weapon would the dragon become? He stretched and limbered himself up while Temeraire got himself ready.*

[It was not much of a preparation physically than it was mentally. It would be someone else wielding him instead of the reliable hand of Toph that he was used to.

He only directed his tail over toward one of Auron's hands, and immediately changed himself into his sword form

[oh Tem! Now both of them without a partner, Stripp is too looking for one.

When she notices the dragon, she comes closer, smiling softly] Hello again.

[He gives her a nod. Having that one hug was really nice and very kind of her. He felt better because of it, thankfully.]

[He can only assume one thing if she is here. She is looking for a partner. So was he, if even a temporary one. Hmm...]

As a Zone Leader, I must find a partner if I am to keep on fulfilling my duties within the Watch. I have learnt that lesson from Mr. Rhapsodos, and he was able to find a good partner in Mr. Edgeworth afterward.

[So, despite the sad feelings right now, he knew that Toph would have liked for him to move on. You know, despite how difficult it has been to accept it all, anyhow.]

Hm~ that's a great philosophy, really. I think you will find one soon enough.

[and speaking of that] Would you like trying to resonate with me? I happen to be a Meister.

[He nods. He was here for that, after all, and she was a meister.]

No, I would not mind it in the lease, Jones. Pray do be careful, however. My weapon form is rather long.

[he does give her a look, though, of being ready.

With that, he quickly changes forms. It might have been a little too quick, but he sure was hoping that she was ready for this.]

[Acknowledging his fellow dragon, Masamune walks over after a rousing session of putting his guns on.]

[He knows what you're going through, fellow dragon. However, he is forcing himself to move on, in a sense. He's been brooding for a good while now, and he knows his partner would have wanted him to get a move on.]

I think that there are a good number of prospective Meisters, fellow dragon. And yourself? Were you able to find yourself a good weapon?

[He shakes his head, looking displeased. The road to finding a weapon that he wanted was hard. Especially since he was following Kojuro's principles to finding it - be thorough and patient, and what you seek should then come to you.]

I am quite sure that if you were to ask some of the people in this area to attempt a resonation, you might find a number of willing weapons. Then again, that would also depend on the sort of weapon you are looking for, does it not, Mr. Date?

[He does hope that Mr. Date does get himself a good weapon. He is now becoming rather fond of the young man, and would like to see him have a good match with someone.]

You'll get this, I think. But I don't know any weapons other than swords. The Saika had guns and cannons but they never interested me. Then there was that priestess and her bow... seemed a bit pansy for me. I feel like the only thing I can fight with is a sword, you know?

[But at least this fellow dragon knows where it's at! Masamune nods his head gratefully at the comment.]

[He considers this. The battles on his back always involved both guns and swords. It was only normal, or so he felt.]

I personally have not had any experience in dealing with guns aside from my crew using them when engaging in battle, but they also used swords. It is a more direct way of dealing with an enemy instead of using a gun to kill the other.

I can understand it from that perspective at least, Mr. Date.

As for my weapon form: I am a Chinese Longsword, or Changdao as is said in the original Chinese.
