Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

[ Hi Gai, hopefully you don't mind being approached by this blue haired genius, who's smiling a lot like the cat who got the cream. She'd been thinking this over for a little while, and some poking around had gotten her the information that she needed. It didn't, after all, take a lot to spot a man of Gai's description, even in such a gathering of people.

Now, if Vegeta trails behind like usual... ]

You're Gai, right? I have a proposition for you!

[Gai's bustling around, but he stops and smiles at the question.]

I am! What can I help you with?

[ballseeker]

I have a friend here with me who's a very experienced fighter - he comes from a race of them - is there any way you could use someone who could teach people about fighting? [ She grins, and then finds the need to explain why, exactly, she's the one approaching him, as if to escape suspicion. ]

Vegeta's a little shy, you see.

I can use more people to teach. There are far more students than teachers. But if he is shy, will he actually want to teach? If so then that is fine! But he has to be able to speak and instruct.

[ballseeker]

Oh, yes! He's very passionate about his fighting, just.. a little socially awkward, you know?

[Gai nods.]

I will need to meet him, but that should be fine. What would he like to teach?

Well, I'm not sure, we can figure it out, though! [ Another blinding smile before she turns, and well, large lungs contribute to a voice this loud - ]

Hey, Vegeta!! Can you come here for a minute?

[Vegeta wasn't even sure why he was here, other than the fact that Bulma had dragged him rather unwillingly. He already knew how to fight, in his very important opinion.

So, he was lingering on the very outer edges of the area, watching the others nearby with irritated glares and glances. He heard his woman shout his name easily enough, but it took him a moment to make his way over, his expression obviously annoyed.]

You're screeching like a dying bird, woman. What do you want?

...Dying bird? Woman?

[Gai frowns at the man who was clearly not happy at all.]

She is trying to help you out.

[ballseeker]

[ Bulma rolls her eyes, completely non-phased by Vegeta's behavior. That's just sort of typical Vegeta, so far as she's concerned. ]

Listen, Vegeta. Hypothetically, if you were teaching a group here would you want beginners, intermediate, or the more experienced people for training? I can probably guess that answer, but I figured I'd at least give you the choice. [ And here's where the whole plan comes down to how much of a fit Vegeta is going to have, she assumes. ]

I highly doubt that.

[She was probably trying to get him to do something. That's sure what it sounded like.

He's narrowing his eyes at her as she speaks. Looks like he was right.]

Hypothetically my ass. [He crosses his arms over his chest, looking his usual pissy self.] You know better than to even ask. A bunch of weakling beginners are going to cry after even five minutes of training under me.

[Gai looked back and forth between them. It sounded like Vegeta was consenting, at least.]

Intermediate, then?

[ballseeker]

Okay, then why not train some Intermediate or Advanced fighters here? [ Yup look at those big blue eyes Vegeta. Totally innocent and trying to just be so damn helpful in getting you something to do in the mornings. There's even free breakfast that she doesn't have to wake up at the crack of dawn to cook!!! ]


You can, you know, assess the people around here and it'll give you some extra training!

[Vegeta looks at the man with the strange haircut (reminds him of Gohan as a child...) then back at Bulma, who is giving him that look. It's the one where if he agrees, she'll be especially pleased and do the things she's supposed to do, like cook him dinner and wash his training suits. It's also the one she gives before she loses her temper when he refuses.

He grunts in the back of his throat, obviously displeased, but seemingly reconciled with the idea.]

Fine. I can train some of the warriors here. Just make sure they at least know how to block or dodge some punches. I don't want to listen to them cry if they go home with just a few bruises.

...Perhaps the sparrers, then. I think that I should make sure not to send you at the beginners. Would you like to assist with intermediate, or with the experts?

[He looked over at Bulma.]

And would you like to assist in an area?

I hope this is all right?

[Not too much later after morning training began did Kratos arrive. The usual training of his partner went decently well and thus his own mood is pretty good right now. Any morning without screaming and complaining is rightfully called a good morning. He's completely unaware anything out of the ordinary might happen today while he makes his way over to the training area. Not expecting anything, nope.]

[Aha, there. Gai had been waiting to catch Kratos. Normally he didn't approach people to teach because he didn't want to pressure them out of the blue. But he'd just replaced his Batch 4 overseer and now she was already gone, and he didn't know what to do.]

Excuse me! Hello! How are you this morning?

[flamberge]

[Being approached first thing in the morning was a bit different from the norm, especially by someone he'd not spoken to previously. Although they've never talked, he'd seen Gai around the training area fairly often. What did he want remained the question.]

Well enough. Is there something I can do for you?

There is, if you had time, and you did not mind. I have seen you training, and we are short an instructor in Batch 4. I am sorry to ask for something just as we meet, but I cannot always prepare enough for BREW taking people.

[He gave a shrug.]

If you are not willing I understand and I will not be upset.

[flamberge]

...You would like me to be an instructor?

[Clearly the request caught him off guard. Him as an instructor? There was a small amount of hesitation before he spoke again.]

It's not that I would be unwilling to do so should you really require it, however you're certain there is no one else better suited for the position?

[Gai nodded.]

I think that you are qualified because I have seen you here. Perhaps there is someone more suited that I have not noticed, but you appear capable and I would like to add you to the team!

[flamberge]

[There's a moment of hesitation on his part before Kratos nods.]

If you deem it necessary then I... have no qualms about becoming an instructor.

Thank you! I would like to set you up as overseeing Batch Four, then! This way!

[And then Gai is cheerfully leading him over to the area, explaining the basics of how sparring worked, especially for experts, and how to fulfill the position.]

[Kratos, somewhat awkwardly, permits himself to be lead by the other man. He pays attention to everything said, nodding at the appropriate times. If nothing else, being an instructor didn't sound overly difficult.]
