Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

[ Oh, that's a familiar face. He waves, smiling laxly like always. ]

Good. And yourself? Any luck finding a partner?

Not yet! But then again I've just been kinda standin' around and scopin' people out. [ He chuckles softly. ]

What about you?

[erostripperella]

I guess it's the same with me. [he smiles] I'm a Meister, by the way. Are you a Weapon, by any chance?

[braidedwonder]

Yeah I am! [ Okay, this is more like it. ]
I'm a beam scythe in weapon form, if you wanna see if it works for you?

[erostripperella]

I would love to. [though she doesn't know what a beam scythe is, she is about to see it, so Stripp doesn't ask]

[She moves her hand, so he'll hold it.]

[ Duo reaches out to take it fearlessly, and after a long moment of concentration the thing handle of the long beamscythe appears in her hand. It's still strange to him, being connected with another person like this - so he'll try to keep classical teenage boy thoughts all to himself.


... No guarantees, though. The green beam blades vrrrr to life in another moment, making graceful arches. ]

Don't touch the blades, uh? They can slice through mobile suits so your finger won't be much opposition...

Hey, you. The Rapunzel. You're a Weapon, right?

[ Well that's a new nickname. Duo nods. ]

Yeah, I am.

[feelsgoodinyou]

[He returns the nod with a semi-curious look.]

Good. What kind?

[braidedwonder]

A beam scythe. It's an unwieldy weapon but it works well when you know what you're doing.

A scythe? I can't say that I tried using one before. [At least no big one like they use for farming.]

Want to risk it anyway?

[braidedwonder]

[ Duo gives a haphazard shrug, a sideways smile spreading across his features. ]

Whatever, man, but try at your own risk.

[That brings a small smirk onto his face as he offers his hand.]

Oh, I don't mind taking the occasional risk. How about you?

[Masamune walked over, cool as anything towards Duo.]

Weapon?

Yo! [ He returns with a little mock salute his way, already grinning. This guy... he can't explain why, but he already liked him. For the moment. ]

Yep. Beamscythe.

[Somewhere out of sight, it takes a couple of minutes of internal debate before Haruka finally makes up her mind and oh-so-casually approaches Duo.]

Any luck?

[ He turns, looking a little surprised to hear her, but smiles anyway. ]
Had a few test runs! What about you?

Over the past couple of days? A couple of trials here and there.

[She frowns slightly.]

I got along fine with everybody, but... that's about it. Aren't Meister and Weapons supposed to really, really click? Maybe I'm expecting too much, but...

[She comes from a land where all myths and legends are true. It'd be impossible not glamorize the Meister and Weapon concept just a bit.]

Honestly? I dunno. [ Duo shrugs carelessly, already pretty disillusioned about the whole myths and legends of the planet sort of thing, whether it's his own world or this one. ]

I'm just looking for someone I can partner with for a few missions - I'm getting antsy and that's never a good thing in the middle of a war.

[Haruka’s expression turns blank. She doesn't get it.]

Why’s that? -The antsy during a war being bad thing, I mean.

[The antsy part itself she understands perfectly.]

Because the longer it's quiet the worse it'll be when they attack, generally. [ A short pause as he pulls his braid over his shoulder, a stray stroke here or there couldn't hurt at all. ]

It gets a little bit like I'm on edge, when these sorts of things happen..

...Oh.

[She really hadn't considered that. If anything, she had been taking the peace for granted.

This changes things completely. Haruka's frown deepens as the cogs start to turn.]

Do you think, if I complete as many missions as I can in whatever time is left, that it'd make a difference when they attack?

[She's pretty sure the answer will be 'yes', she just wants to hear it out loud before she embarks on her self-appointed quest. Because somebody's got to do it and why shouldn't it be her?]
