Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

All right, well, let's try it!

[She poofs into an obi, automatically flying out towards Amaterasu and wrapping around her - this time about the chest above and behind her forelegs to fit snugly]

Doth this feel all right?

[Amaterasu raises her head as Kiriha wraps around, chest out and forelegs parted. She gave a few test wiggles once the obi was on]

Yes, that feels just fine.

Well, then let us begin!

[Though Kiriha would be able to guide it a bit, it would be up to Amaterasu's will to control and weave the obi into the wings they'd need]

Yes!

[The goddess begins to think of the weave, imagining the Celestials wings specifically as a guide.]

[It's a bit shaky at first, since they have different images in mind, but it starts to come together as Kiriha gets more of a feel for what Amaterasu's going for.]

Hmm, wider, thou wanteth it to have sufficient area to carry thee.

Hm... Ah, I know.

[Instead of Celestials, she decides to think of Moegami's wings. They're quite large and feathery.]

[It's closer to the original pattern Kiriha had, so it ends up working well. It's a good thing Ammy's pretty skilled, though Kiriha still fusses a bit with the details]

Make sure to weave it tight and as crisply as possible...

[Weapons you could be a little less precise with and practice over time, but if these were going to get them off the ground, Kiriha wanted to make sure they got it right the first time]

Alright...

[Amaterasu looked up to the wings, her tongue poking out of her mouth as she checked each fold to make sure they were good and tight. If they didn't get this at first... well, they would keep low to the ground and not fly off immediately.]

[obimycommands]

[WHERE WAS THE FUN IN THAT okay no, Kiriha was planning to start low anyway.]

That seemeth fine... alright, start with a run so we get some speed to carry us!

[motherofthesun]

Right. I can do that.

[Breaking into a run is very easy. She's off, feeling the wind whipping through her fur immediately, paws moving faster as she levels near springing speed.]

[obimycommands]

[It's definitely faster than a human could easily run, and Kiriha enjoys the speed before starting to move the wings, feeling the lift they were getting. No doubt Amaterasu would be able to feel it as well, starting to pull her upwards]

Take it at thy own pace and leap!

[motherofthesun]

Leap!?

[Seems like a magical word as she suddenly springs off the ground.]

[obimycommands]

[The fly off the ground, just from the force of the jump... then the wings flap, and there's a momentary sensation of weightlessness... before they're coming down again - not much more than a normal jump, but there was that moment...]

Again!

[motherofthesun]

[Paws on the ground, Amaterasu continues running to maintain momentum, and jumps again soon.]

[obimycommands]

[And we have... lifdoff! Sort off. The wings flap a bit, and they're more starting to... glide? In any case, that weightless sensation has changed to sort of moving with the wings through the air now...]

All right, concentrate on moving thin body with the wings, feeling the wind and... upwards!

[motherofthesun]

[Yes! It's working... oh, but this is gliding.]

Hm... I think I know how... [She who speaks and feeds enough birds has seen them fly plenty of times. How they stretch open and flap down, powerfully pumping up and down to ascend... their tiny claws had to tuck in to help them be streamline.]

[obimycommands]

[And with that image in Amaterasu's mind, it transfers into motion, and they start to rise, flying up over the heads of other people in the training grounds]

Ooh, splendid! Like that!

[motherofthesun]

[Amaterasu grins widely, going higher still. This was enthralling! She hasn't been remotely close to flying for some time and this was excellent!]

How much higher do you think we should go?

[obimycommands]

As high as thou wants - though we should perhaps stay at least near building we can land on if need be.

[Everything seems to be going well though, so Kiriha doesn't sound too worried]

Hmmm...

[She pushes the wings to pump more, but brings them around to make sure they're above some buildings.]

[Kiriha laughs]

It hath been quite a while since I've done this!

[motherofthesun]

Same! How exciting it is to be up in the air again!

[obimycommands]

Thou hast flown before?

[Okay, she feels stupid as soon as she says it because, GODDESS and all, but, well, WOLF...]

[motherofthesun]

Multiple times!

[She doesn't seem at all bothered. Whee~]

With wings, or...?

[Certainly, she's glad Amaterasu's enjoying this... and some of the stares people are giving them are pretty amusing to Kiriha as well]
