Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

[It's towards the end of Morning Training, and Sephiroth can be found loitering on the outskirts of the training area. He's there in his usual place waiting and watching quietly for his Meister to finish.]

[Cloud finished up with the people that he was working with and spotted Sephiroth nearby. He was pleased to see his partner out in public and getting used to those new sensory abilities when there was plenty to feel.

Hurrying over to his Weapon, he came to a stop before his partner and peered up at the silver-haired man.] What's with this appearance? Are you missing me already or just wanting to see me off to my next project?

[It was difficult to shut out all of the various vibrations occurring around him. Every footfall, every moment, was felt through his new abilities, that Sephiroth found his eyes closing as he attempted to get that sensation back under grasp. It was needed regardless of how much of an annoyance it felt like, given that he couldn't allow himself to become distracted on the battlefield. Yet when he sensed someone approaching, Sephiroth opened his gaze to sight his Meister's appearance.]

I had thought that I could accompany you to your next destination, if you so desire.

[As he got closer, he could tell the strain that his Weapon was under and felt pity for the man struggling alone with such a condition. There was really nothing he could do but support the ex-General, but there was no way for him to take on those abilities to relieve the silver-haired man.

He continued to peer before reaching up and tucking some of Sephiroth's hair behind the man's ear.] I would like that. It's always nice having company for such nice walks. Come on then. [He gestured and eased passed his Weapon towards the pavement where they could begin their walk.]

[The vibration was much like static noise constantly pounding along his senses as he stood there. The further he was away from it, the better it was, but he couldn't allow himself to have such weaknesses while attempting to protect his partner.

Watching as the hand came up to tuck some of his silver hair away, he nodded his head before moving to follow after his partner. Sephiroth didn't say anything, but quietly picked up his pace long enough to bring himself alongside Cloud. He was, after all, one of the very few people who never expected anything from him.]

[Cloud didn't slow his pace for Sephiroth, aware that the older man's longer legs and usual gait almost always kept them even. They had walked long miles together after all, so he knew that they would wait for each other and make the transition to walking together as natural as their partnership.

He walked away from the training field and brushed his hand against Sephiroth's as he walked.] How are you finding your ability? Still difficult?

[The closer they were together, the easier it was to focus his attention away from the vibration and on their JENOVA link instead. It helped that they were also beginning to move away from the training field as well, but Sephiroth knew that such distractions from his partner went far further than the silvering-blonde ever would have realised.

He felt the light brush of hands and glanced at his partner from the corner of his eyes.] It is difficult to adjust to in large numbers, but it is something that must be done.

[There was subtle signs in the link that they shared that allowed him to know that Sephiroth was less distracted. He knew that the new abilities were a battle for his partner, and he liked to keep close to occasionally draw Sephiroth from the constant buzz of sensations to just soothe his partner in their unique link.]

Ah well, I know you'll master that ability within a few months. You've mastered everything you have. [He looked around, easing down a more deserted street before his hand reached out and took Sephiroth's. Shyness caused him to shift a little closer, having never formally held hands with someone for the purpose for the companionable sensation it brought up in him.]

[It would take time, which was the unfortunate aspect of it. In the past, he had the opposite problem where he had to readjust his strength and fighting prowess to lower them down to match his opponent. Now, however, he had to try and find a new balance not with lowering an ability of his, but simply gaining control of something that he had no experience of before. That was something he hadn't had to do since his birth, and so it took far longer to master regardless of how Sephiroth thought about it.]

It will take some time and dedication, and I will not shy away from it regardless of the difficulties. [It was why he had partly been at the training grounds that morning.

Following Cloud's lead to the more deserted street, he found himself suddenly surprised when a hand slipped into his own as they walked. Looking at Cloud in silent surprise, his gaze flickered down to their joint hands before he half smiled, half smirked, and tightened the hold he had while his partner shifted closer.]

Cloud believed in Sephiroth for his new abilities, and he was certain that this kind of challenge was what his Weapon needed in the city. He knew for a fact that the ex-General found very little challenging, so this sudden one would keep Sephiroth interested in learning and mastering it. "I'll be here to support you however you need," he said with a nod of his head.

He felt very happy holding hands with Sephiroth, an action they had never done publicly before. He noted the look on the ex-General's lips, and his own mirrored it, feeling very childish and not caring about it at all. He squeezed Sephiroth's hand in return. "It's a nice day for a walk, wouldn't you agree? We should do this more often."

His partner was right in that regard, and it was rare for anything to challenge him any more. Even after they had gathered a few eggs their battles had gotten much easier. Just knowing that Cloud was there to support him meant more for him than anything else. Nodding his head to his partner's words, there was a brief, but subtle smile on his lips in response.

Stroking his thumb over the back of Cloud's hand at the squeeze, he felt himself calm considerably as he relaxed into their private moment. Slipping his eyes closed for the briefest of moments, Sephiroth took a selfish moment to enjoy their brief time together until the evening. "I could walk you each morning, if it pleases you?"

The subtle smile was noted, and he was pleased that he could be of help to the silver-haired man. What sort of partnership would they have if they couldn't support Sephiroth and have the older man do the same to him? In some ways, he really wanted Sephiroth to experience it for once, to know he would be there without a fear of running out. If they failed, they failed together. If they succeeded, they succeeded together.

He was pleased with the stroking, enjoying this foolishly dating moment because it was rare to happen to them. He enjoyed it though as he always did the quiet moments they accomplished together. He kept his hold as they walked, and even as they emerged to another side-street, he didn't pull his hand back. "You'd do that? I'd like that... I'm still... not used to being apart so long."

Sephiroth said nothing further as they continued to walk on. He didn't think he had done anything of note to have caused such a pleasure out of his silvering partner, but it appeared something had occurred when he sensed that almost-accomplishment feeling through their shared link. Was accomplishment even the right word for it? Sephiroth wasn't certain, but he couldn't think of another term to give it justice either.

When they neared the end of the secluded alleyway, the ex-General loosened his grip to allow for Cloud to pull his hand free. No such thing happened, however, as they both emerged from the alley to cross over into another side-street. The muttered words had him glancing at his companion from the corner of his eyes even while the soft smile remained hinting on his lips at the confession.

"Anything for you," he quietly muttered in return. And it was true. There was next to nothing that he wouldn't do if it benefited them in one way or another, and if these small moments eased Cloud's burden as it did his own, then he would continue to do just that for the younger male.

Cloud glanced over at Sephiroth as he felt the other man's hand loosen, and his expression turned more into a scowl for a moment as he instead tightened his hand on Sephiroth's. He laced their fingers together and continued to walk regardless of the small amount of people around. No one was watching them anyway.

Pleasure warmed him at the thought that Sephiroth would take time and even risk coming down and exposing himself to the constant tremors of the city every day. He shifted closer, bumping their shoulders together in a playful gesture before he tugged Sephiroth into the next alley by their hands.

"I think you're doing it to sneak moments with me. I know you're game," he teased before he dragged Sephiroth bodily into a hidden doorway with him. He rose to his toes and planted his lips on his partner's. "I want to do a mission with you soon."

He didn't miss the scowl sent in his direction, and Sephiroth knew well that his partner didn't want his hand disappearing. He hadn't been quite so certain when it had come to such public appearances, but it was beginning to become obvious that Cloud didn't care for the others momentarily around them as they walked between alleyways. That was a new development, but the others were easier to ignore when the grip around his own tightened so nicely.

The bump of his shoulder had him stealing a quick glance from his Meister, before Sephiroth was found huffing lightly at the teased words. He didn't get much time to say any form of rebuttal before he was pulled into a hidden doorway and found lips pressing against his own. It was impossible not to surrender into the sensation, and he felt his eyes slip closed at the feeling.

"Getting bored of your position already?" Sephiroth half-teased in return.

Cloud wasn't ashamed of what they had together, but he wasn't one to broadcast either. He knew that both of them respected and wanted their privacy too much to allow for anyone else to actually be privy to their personal lives. The closest people to know about them had been Kuroro and Kurapika, two people who had been much the same as he and Sephiroth.

He didn't mind stopping if it meant a small measure of privacy in a hidden doorway, though he hoped it would remain closed. He smiled into the kiss at the reaction from his partner and stepped in to lean against the silver-haired man's body.

"Hardly... but all the time apart bugs me. I miss our missions and the perks that came with them," he murmured, leaning his forehead against Sephiroth's chin.

The smile was welcomed, and Sephiroth quietly absorbed the soft gesture while drawing the silvering-blonde in closer to his body. He had hoped that they could remain here in this world purely for what they had discovered here together, even if they would be stuck to this world and unable to locate a new home for each other.

"I never thought that you'd be so clingy. I thought that was my job," he lightly teased while his arms came to wrap themselves around the younger male. Chuckling lightly, his chin moved subtly against Cloud's forehead as he quietly spoke, "Then I will give you all the missions that you desire."

This seemed like an inappropriate place to be standing together, but he didn't care at this point. He had been in far more awkward situations and this sort of place seemed to fit the mood and the need. Besides, he was now convinced that home was wherever Sephiroth happened to be.

He stiffened at the idea he was being clingy. Maybe he was. "I am not clingy," he replied with a sulk, burrowing closer which made it obvious he actually was being clingy. He stilled though when Sephiroth's chin came to rest and he hummed softly in acceptance. "I know you will. We'll go out again when things settle."

Cloud's sulking words were returned with an amused chuckle in return. They both knew the answer to that, and as Cloud burrowed in closer, Sephiroth inhaled a deep and satisfied breath as he tightened the hold he had around his partner. Truth be told, he was rather pleased to hear such things as it meant that Cloud was as dependent on his presence as he was of his partner's. That thought comforted him more than anything else.

"Mmm," he sounded softly in agreement. Sephiroth knew that he was ready for such things whenever his partner desired it, but the ex-General also knew enough of the silvering-blonde to know that Cloud needed this time to readjust to the changes in their lives.

Okay, he knew that he was slightly clingy right now. There was big change to how he lived his life with returning to the Watch and the absence of his partner for most of the day. He had gone months with Sephiroth almost constantly at his side and now they had a few hours each evening to really spend with each other. It was different, and he was still struggling to get used to the change that had occurred. He knew that Sephiroth struggled as much as he did.

He tightened his hold on his partner, simply silently allowing their emotions and thoughts to transfer down the link no one else had. He knew that they didn't have too much time to linger here, but he selfishly did anyway. "Mmm, you smell nice. Have you changed your shampoo again?"

He allowed their emotions to mingle through their link, and found an undeniable comfort in their silent moment together. Sephiroth didn't care that their current location was still rather public, and knew deep down within that he wouldn't hesitate to gut anyone who dared to interrupt them either. Instead he smoothed his hands down the curve of his partner's back as his chest rumbled with his quiet chuckle.

"You do not miss much," Sephiroth muttered before he pulled his face back enough so that Cloud could properly catch the scent. "I have found that there isn't a product here as superior as the one ShinRa made for me during my service with them."

He leaned forward, which wasn't very far considering how close they were already and breathed deep the scent from his partner's mass amounts of hair. He reached out and picked up a few locks of hair, curling them around his index finger before he looked around at their location, checking for people.

"Well, keeping up with your activities is interesting. I can never compete with your stalker ways though," he murmured before he shifted, shoving Sephiroth a little deeper into the hidden doorway. "We still have a little time you know...."
