Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

[Open | Dog bonding time!]

[It's healthy to allow dogs to socialize. And for big dogs like Genesis' Australian Shepherd and Shiba Inu, socializing is a must. Since he brings them with him to the park every morning, why not pop by and say hello to them?]

[motherofthesun]

[Puppies! She's quite obviously a good choice to help with the socialization. Large alpha wolf like her can put any pack in order, but first would be the approach... which is totally not subtle and straight towards them for her.]

[recitings]

[When Genesis sees Amaterasu, he beams. He knows she would definitely make a good acquaintance for his dogs. He's seen her around the city, and he does somewhat remember petting her once during morning training... or was it napping? But in any case, he's very comfortable around her, even if it was clear that she was a large alpha wolf and not a dog like his girls.

Apple, the Australian Shepherd is excited upon seeing Amaterasu. She assumes a playful stance, eager to get to know her. Mei, the Shiba Inu, on the other hand, is quiet, but seems somewhat distant and respectful of the wolf.]

[motherofthesun]

[It was most likely napping. Morning is a good time to laze about in the morning sun before actually getting to work. Still, at either point in time, Amaterasu would be happy to meet someone new.]

[She approaches and stands, watching the two as they react. The Australian Shepherd wants to play and the Shiba Inu seems to be giving off some respect. Not too surprising. She barks once in greeting.]

[recitings]

[Immediately, both go closer. Apple is practically bouncing while Mei is still a little timid-- almost intimidated. Genesis is watching the Shiba Inu, wondering how she's taking to the white wolf. He kneels over to her and gives her a scritch behind one ear.]

Are you alright, Mei?

[He's concerned about her. But Mei is just looking right at Amaterasu with her body language showing deference. In the meantime, Apple is already licking the wolf's cheek in greeting. She's way too friendly.]

[motherofthesun]

[Amaterasu doesn't seem to mind Apple's cheek licks, standing still and letting the dog continue actually. When again, she noticed that Mei wasn't coming closer, she decided to approach the Shiba Inu herself.]

[recitings]

[Apple falls away and watches curiously as Amaterasu approaches Mei now. The Shiba Inu, meanwhile, doesn't back away, but her tail is tucking between her legs. Genesis seemed a little worried still, but he knows Amaterasu to some extent. He knows that she's a good wolf.]

[motherofthesun]

[Amaterasu stands before Mei, ears standing and sniffs. Curious; why does this one cower exactly? She decides to step closer and give the dog a lick.]

[recitings]

[Mei suddenly feels a bit shaken. Such a noble creature greeting me!? She seems kind of nervous now, but tentatively, she returns that greeting.]

I guess she's just... shy.

[Genesis laughs. But really, it seems more like Mei was all nervous with nothing but sheer respect for how noble Amaterasu was. Somehow, she knew that she was far greater than just any other wolf.]

She's pretty much like that with some people, too.

[motherofthesun]

[Her ears flick at Genesis words. Is that right? Well, more socialization was needed.]

[Hello there, young one. No reason to be so nervous... or is something on your mind?]

[recitings]

[Not really... nothing is on my mind. I guess... I've just never met any dog like you. You make me feel a little nervous... and I've never felt this way even with the dragon I used to live with.]

[motherofthesun]

[A dragon? How curious. She sits down. Well, I'm not a dog... or a wolf. It's just a form I meant to temporarily use, but that 'temporary' has now been over two hundred years.]

[recitings]

[Mei now sits beside her, while Apple moves over to Genesis' side and nuzzles him.]

I guess we can take a little break.

[And he sits down with Apple near where Mei and Amaterasu were. Mei continues her conversation with the wolf:

He is gone now, though. That is why this man is now my master. So... what are you, really?]

[motherofthesun]

[She glances over at Genesis, but then turns back to Mei.]

[Ah, adoption. Well, I'm a goddess, but not of this world. If I was, this whole war business could be ended sooner.]

[recitings]

[Really? Oh wow!]

[Mei's tail began to wag low at Amaterasu's words. Her head pressed down to the grass, though.]

[I never thought I'd meet a goddess. I thought they were all make-believe, like my master's partner says. Master goes on and on about a goddess, but his partner doesn't believe him.]

[motherofthesun]

[Maybe his partner is from such a world lacking gods and goddesses being about often. I try to interact when I can, but we do have things to do as well.]

[recitings]

[I guess so. How do you communicate with the humans?]

[motherofthesun]

[I write to them. Text is what they usual call it. It's simple enough and much faster since they can't understand the basic body language.]

[recitings]

[I see... but how about out here where everyone is gathered? My master seems to know you... I think.]

[Mei steals a glance over to Genesis, who had begun to nap a bit with Apple.]

[nofarplaneyet]

Didn't know you liked dogs. *Auron walks over to the trio.*

[recitings]

I do. I've owned these two for a while.

[nofarplaneyet]

They always seemed like a lot of work to me. *But he will give them a pat or two*

[recitings]

They get easier to handle the more exercise you give them, really.

[nofarplaneyet]

Better you than me. Nice to see you even more involved with the Watch. *Because fayth, they really need the people.*

I'm glad to be back on the force as well. It was starting to get dull being stuck behind a desk.
