Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

When she's not refining her blade skills, learning to better handle herself in a fight or making tentative bids to find a Meister, Anri's mostly on the sidelines. It's only very recently that she's started coming to Morning Training regularly and there's still few enough people that she knows here that approaching people doesn't come easily.

But that doesn't mean she isn't looking for those she does know, because lingering on the sidelines with someone else stands out a lot less than lingering alone and standing out is something she tries hard not to do.

Of course, it's also entirely possible that she's so absorbed in whatever she's watching that she's not watching where she's going, if people prefer a more direct run-in.

[After having done her own share of training, Eve was ready to take a break when she spotted a familiar figure.

With a towel around her neck and a water bottle in one hand (it really has gotten awfully hot here...) she made her way over.]

[For herself, Anri had been sticking to the shadier areas where she could. She was still getting used to the climate here and she probably wasn't dressed as well as she could be given that she was trying to play down certain features that normally attracted attention.

Still, for all she was on the warm side she managed a smile as she saw someone she knew.]

Good morning, Eve-san.

Good morning. [In contrast, Eve had broken out her summer outfits. She would probably need to get new clothes soon though. It was a ridiculous how much growing she was doing lately...]

How are you?

Oh I'm okay, thank you.

[Maybe she should go shopping sometime, now she has a job. Not that she puts much thought into what she buys at the best of times]

And you?

I've been busy. [They had lost a lot of the part-time workers from the city during the riots and they were only now slowly starting to come back, after all.]

I see. A good busy, I hope?

[Busy's not always bad, after all. Having something to fill the day is never something she minds]

[She stops to think about it. Her being busy means they were getting business. Getting business was good, right? Finally, she nodded.]

It is.

Have you found a job yet?

[She nods]

I work for the Detective Agency now...oh, um, not as a detective or anything. I just take care of the paperwork.

[The Agency huh...]

Does it pay well?

I suppose? I mean, I haven't been there long but I assume it does.

That's good.

I'm glad you found a job.

At least it gives me something else to focus on.

Kiriha grins as she recognizes the girl she'd counseled before. Curious as to how that all turned out, she gives a wave as she approaches.

"Anri! How art thou doing?"

Anri offers a small smile in response as she notices Kiriha approach, easily recognising the very distinctive manner of speaking.

"Good morning, Kiriha-san. I hope you've been well."

Not entirely intentionally dodging the question, but she's never entirely sure when people are actually asking over just being polite.

"I have. But what of thee? Hast thou tried transforming yet?" asked the tsukumogami, not to be discouraged from her initial curiosity.

Anri nods a little, not quite able to meet Kiriha's gaze much longer though more for habit than anything else. "Yes...I haven't had any problems yet. I'm not sure I should take it to mean everything's okay but...if it happens, I'll find a way around it."

Just as she had last time.

"Good, good! I'm glad to hear it. I thought as much that thou might assume the form, not the actual being of the weapon," Kiriha said, perhaps a bit smugly. "Just what sort of form is it anyway?"

"Hmm, perhaps." She still wasn't convinced about that, but she wouldn't go into that now. "Um, I turn into a katana. Which, I'd already figured out. It's still her, just...quieter."

Which was no bad thing.

"A katana... certainly, I can see why thou wouldst be wary of the 'love' it would express," Kiriha admitted. Granted, she did know a katana tsugumomo who was basically the sweetest little pushover ever, but that was besides the point.

She nodded a little at that. It didn't take much, after all, to determine how a katana would want to express itself. "I'm still not sure she's entirely gone, but I don't hear her any more. That's enough, I hope."

"Mm, right. Well, thou shouldst have confidence in thy control! Those kinds of doubts art the kind that can create that weakness to such loss of control in the first place, so thou shouldst take the quiet now to heart," she said with an encouraging grin.

"Perhaps." Of course, she knew Kiriha had a point, but she still couldn't be quite as confident in matters as might be necessary. "I guess it's just strange...I got used to hearing her, you know?"

And even if she hadn't exactly enjoyed hearing Saika's thoughts, it was still a little jarring now she no longer could.

"Even things that one hates can become familiar... well, hopefully thou wilst not end up missing her for long," said the tsukumogami with a shrug. "And thou canst get more used to hearing the thoughts of thine partner! Thou shouldst look for one, now that thou knoweth thou art safe."

She nodded a little at that. "Yes, I thought about that too. I've been practicing with Amaterasu-san, though I'm still not sure how involved I want to become. But...if nothing else, I need to be able to defend myself and the people I come to care for."

And anyone else from home who might show up after her, of course.
