Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

[Again, she nodded. Indeed it was, but it was getting closer to summer.]

So am I. They seemed to disappear that day after the floating island fell down outside of town.

[Sai laughs, shaking his head.]

[She nods.] I heard from my employees although I haven't met either of them yet. So, Yako also works at the Agency? My clerk at the shop is her boyfriend's roommate.

There might be shops looking for salespeople, too. I sort of wanted to hire another clerk but with slow sales at the shop lately I doubt I can afford it right now. Nothing seems to pay nearly as well as demon hunting though. [She had been stuck going out on missions sometimes to meet her expenses at the shop.]

Oh...

[Sorry, she's not very good with expressions.] Well, I'll do my best. [She manages a small smile.]

[He searches for a practice weapon that's about the length of a transformed Sugata. It... takes him a little while since most of the available weapons are considerably longer. But when he finds a dulled knife, he takes it immediately and then picks up a longer wooden sword as well. In a moment he's trotting back over to Auron.]

Okay! Ready!

[tauborn]

[There's plenty of Takuto's soul to go around of course, and he relaxes a little bit, rather impressed by how well balanced the weapons are. Perhaps not so well balanced in physical characteristics--though it's certainly ironic that the five-foot Yuugi is a large sword and the much taller Sugata is a knife--but the two feel like a very good pair in terms of soul wavelength.

But he'll need Sugata to keep up, of course, so he nudges him a little with his wavelength. Even though their previous resonance attempt wasn't really the best, it hadn't been horrible by any stretch.]

You're not a bad set, you two. [There's something of a playful note to his words and it's humming through his wavelength, too. He's having fun.]

Well, that's okay too. I mean, if you're not used to cooking for yourself.

[She's been taking care of herself for long enough that she barely thinks about it, but she knows not everyone is like that]

It's...there's a lot of it that's similar, but only in that I come from a human city on Earth. Mostly it's a lot more mundane than here.

[Mostly, because there are exceptions]

I suppose it must be a lot more different for you?

[She gathers her focus just enough to turn back into her usual form, though she's in no hurry to stand just yet. Maybe once the ground stops moving...]

[She glances away at that. She's not entirely surprised either but it's still not pleasant having it pointed out]

A little. Though I understand a little better now how that works.

[Yeah, she's just going to give something of a wide-eyed stare round about now because what]

Um...floating island?

She nodded a little at that. It didn't take much, after all, to determine how a katana would want to express itself. "I'm still not sure she's entirely gone, but I don't hear her any more. That's enough, I hope."

[tauborn]

[He climbs to his feet with a grin.]

I'm willing to start right now.

[This is not at all the conversation he thought he'd be having with her after resonance. Can't they go back to implying other post-resonance activities?

But he knows she deserves an answer and he hates seeing her look so vulnerable as she tries to come up with reasons she's not as perfect as she really is.]

[His mouth snaps shut fast. Equally fast, his face burns.]

Wh-what I mean is that technically you're a girl and he's a boy so obviously there are some differences there and likewise you have things that he doesn't of course but this conversation really has nothing to do with that because I think you're great.

Yep! So if you want any advice on finding weapons and stuff, you can always ask. I might not have the greatest of answers, but I'll do my best.

Sephiroth said nothing further as they continued to walk on. He didn't think he had done anything of note to have caused such a pleasure out of his silvering partner, but it appeared something had occurred when he sensed that almost-accomplishment feeling through their shared link. Was accomplishment even the right word for it? Sephiroth wasn't certain, but he couldn't think of another term to give it justice either.

When they neared the end of the secluded alleyway, the ex-General loosened his grip to allow for Cloud to pull his hand free. No such thing happened, however, as they both emerged from the alley to cross over into another side-street. The muttered words had him glancing at his companion from the corner of his eyes even while the soft smile remained hinting on his lips at the confession.

"Anything for you," he quietly muttered in return. And it was true. There was next to nothing that he wouldn't do if it benefited them in one way or another, and if these small moments eased Cloud's burden as it did his own, then he would continue to do just that for the younger male.

Heh. Well, don't mind if I do. [ He placed the sword on his shoulder again, taking his own ready stance, eyeing her closely. He'd have to hold back a little more than usual, at least until she warmed up too.

He ran up to her, giving her a straight-forward downward slash. ]

I can't say there was anything like that back where I'm from. [But yeah no for reals that's pretty impressive. Judai would probably be interested in hearing about this, he can imagine.]

But, there are a lot of things about my world that I miss, too, so I know that feeling.

[ There we go. At least this one was fairly easy, so she moved her own sword to block it in time. She could guess from the way it felt that he wasn't using his full strength, but that was for the best, either way. Otherwise she wouldn't even stand a chance to begin with. ]

Better than you thought, huh? [ More like better than she thought, but whatever. ]

[Shinji seems pretty reluctant to pursue that second comment, falling silent for a moment or two before speaking up again.]

It seems like there are a lot of really nice people here, though.

[Rocking back and forth a little, Mizuno looks thoughtful for a moment.]
