Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

You blocked that well, detective. You are stronger than before. *Alucard followed Raidou, trying to attack and find a way into that guard. Feeling that enthusiasm for battle as a sword was one thing, but being on the receiving end of it was something else.*

I have not been wasting my time over the past months. [And this time he won't wait, instead launching into a flurry of attacks to try and force the dhampir back. Better think on your feet, because he's not giving you a chance to take a breather.]

*It's good that Alucard has to really try to defend himself. It also helps improve him.*

I can see that. *This is...almost...fun*

[timelessummoner]

[It's exhilarating, that's for sure.

He continues the assault, then abruptly tries to knock Alucard's weapon out of his hands. Does it work?]

[draculabackwards]

*It gets knocked out of one hand so if Raidou wants to counter quickly, he might be successful!*

[timelessummoner]

[You bet he'll counter. Have a sharp rap on your arm. It's not hard enough to actually cause any injures, but it's a hit.]

[draculabackwards]

*Alucard backed up and rubbed his arm in surprise. Raidou hadn't been lying when he said he'd been training. Well then. There's one dhampir with renewed zeal to hack away Raidou's defenses.*

[timelessummoner]

[Raidou prefers dodging to blocking, so he takes this opportunity to practice avoiding Alucard's blows, only shielding himself when he has to. That doesn't mean he isn't ready to strike the moment Alucard gives him an opening, though...]

[draculabackwards]

*Alucard, in turn, is studying Raidou's defenses and the minute he sees a possible opening, he slams into a block and twists his hold, trying to rip the blade out of Raidou's hands.*

[Damn. Raidou may have more training, but Alucard is definitely physically stronger. He staggers back, managing to keep his grip on the sword but left dangerously open.]

[draculabackwards]

*And Alucard leaps into that gap, switching his sword into his left hand to keep Raidou's guard open. He also bum rushes him with his shoulder that's going to send Raidou crashing to the ground if he doesn't do something.*

[timelessummoner]

[Dammit! Raidou does the only thing he can think of and throws himself backwards, twisting to meet the ground with his hands and backflipping away. He does, however, lose his sword in the process, so this might count as a point for Alucard.]

*Definitely. A man also can't backflip away from a determined dhampir forever. Especially one with a sword. However, he switches to the flat of it so if he actually swats Raidou, it'll only be that. What's more dangerous is the sucker punch he employs. If that hits Raidou, he's done.*

[timelessummoner]

[Raidou doesn't care to be at the receiving end of Alucard's punches. And while he can pack a punch too, he'd much rather get his sword back. He backs away cautiously, waiting for his chance to make a dash for the dropped weapon.]

[draculabackwards]

I don't think you're going to be getting your sword back. Perhaps you should just yield. *The dhampir uses his weight and height to herd Raidou away from his fallen weapon.*

[timelessummoner]

[Not just yet. He backs off, then slowly raises his fists, apparently ready to fight.

Well?]

[draculabackwards]

*Alucard attacks instead. If Raidou didn't want to give up, Alucard shouldn't either. Fortunately it's a dull blade so if Raidou has to block it, he won't be slicing his arm off.*

[timelessummoner]

[That's exactly what he was hoping for. As soon as Alucard gets away from the sword lying on the ground, Raidou ducks under a swing, dives past the dhampir and dashes for the weapon.]

[draculabackwards]

*No you don't! Alucard whirls around to try to snatch Raidou by the arm. Is he successful or does Raidou manage to get his sword and rest it at a fatal point near his neck or between his eyes?*

[timelessummoner]

[Both. While his right arm is caught, it's just a hair too late, and Raidou is close enough to snatch up the sword in his left hand and turn in Alucard's grip, bringing the dull blade to the dhampir's neck. It's no graceful swing, him being right-handed, but a real blade would still cut.]

[draculabackwards]

*The kiss of steel against his neck brings him short. He is angry for the loss and his expression is a little frightening. Surely he could have done better. But he did lose so he breathes out the anger and composes himself.* I yield.

[timelessummoner]

[Raidou pulls back. Now that the fight is over, he's aware of how fast his heart is beating. It had been a close call.]

Will that do, or would you care for another round?

[draculabackwards]

That will do. *Alucard brushed off his clothes* You are quite good, Raidou.

[timelessummoner]

You did not make the victory easy, Alucard-san.

[draculabackwards]

I suppose this will make me feel better about losing, detective.
