Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

[Ah, he remembered now: The mirror.]

I, uh... m-made somethin'. Been meanin' to give it to you.

[He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a cell phone strap, handing it to him. At the end was a little plush shoopuf.]

Makes the mirror easier to carry. You can throw it away if it's dumb or somethin'.

*Auron turned the strap around and caught his eye on the shoopuf. He holds it up near his good eye to look at it.*

How did you know what a shoopuf looks like? *Did he talk about them with Kanji at some point?*

Long story short: I got a friend who recognized the word 'shoopuf' after you brought 'em up last time we had lunch. Said there was some game he used to play that had 'em in it, so I asked what they looked like.

...So they're kinda like elephants back in my world, but with really curly trunks n' weird ears.

[He looked back at the strap.]

You got the look right. *A game? Well, maybe it was like how bats were real and there were bats in games too. Without comment, he takes the strap and attaches it to his mirror.*

Anyone ever told you about chocobos?

[He nodded, though his heart skipped a little beat at that. He did his best to get it right.]

Oh, yeah. Tifa told me. Man, why the hell didn't I come from a world where you could ride giant birds?

Because you can ride...whatever horses are instead?

If you make a chocobo, I'll take that too.

Eh, horses're nice, I guess.

[But then he nodded.]

I can make some chocobo ones, sure... or a doll. How 'bout that?

I'll take a doll one.

I didn't realize you were so talented with a needle and thread. Do you weave things too?

Gimme a color you want it in n' I'll get one worked up.

[He blinked, thought a moment.]

Nah, not really. My family runs a textile shop; my mom usually runs the loom, had me sit on my ass n' watch what she did since I was little, but I never took to doin' it myself. I, uh... didn't have time.

They're usually yellow. *He isn't getting some weird color for the bird.*

You prefer making things with sewing as opposed to making clothes?

Yellow, a'right. [Tifa had told him about all the different colors. Had to be sure!]

Well, I can make clothes, repair 'em... I just never got around to makin' the fabric itself. I'm actually workin' on a coat for somebody. Second one since I got here. Few scarves, some gloves... hats.

[He shrugged.]

Why? Y'got somethin' to repair?

I think parts of my coat are a little worn. Kinda like this coat. *Now that he was ALIVE, the coat went back to getting normal wear and tear.*

Y'wanna drop it off at my place? I can look at it n' see what I can do.

[Gonna be hard to do, Auron. Death is kind of permanent back home.]

[He nodded. It was strange... just talking about anything else was kind of helping him dust off and move on. then again, maybe he should just be doing that in the first place instead of moping around.]

[And here he punched a tree because his friends were gone. Damn it...]

I'm gonna get back to it. Standin' around here's not gonna solve anything.
