Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

It goes well most days. But most people are also here to see it most days. Or many people. Some do not come. ...Some are still sleeping in and I will have to go home and drop ice in the bed. Perhaps one day I should set something up to drop ice at seven! Then he would be more likely to show up.

[Chatting was something Gai was good at, and so he chatted. Obito was... hard to know how to deal with, otherwise.]

[Obito's cheek twitched, but other than that he did not smile.]

Hmn. He won't like that.

[He felt like he should say something else, but what was there to say? Obito hadn't talked with anyone other than to grunt a thanks when given food all the past week. It's like he had forgotten the art of conversation.]

Not everything I do he likes. Sometimes he must be pushed, because it is good for him. And then he pushes me back, because it is good for him. And sometimes me.

[There had been almost, maybe a beginning of a smile. Gai would work on it.]

The day is beautiful and he is wasting it, buried under pillows and sleeping! Of course, if you have a suggestion that is better than ice, you can make it.

[Gai and Kakashi had a good relationship. Obito couldn't help but feel a little jealous at times. This time, he only admired them for it, though. It had to be nice, having such a loyal friend who could stick by your side forever. Kakashi and he would never be able to have that quite like they might have managed before.

But now Gai was asking for suggestions. Obito bit the inside of his lip, thinking back.]

If you're careful, you could always write on his face with marker. He always hated that.

[It became nearly impossible to mask chakra away from Kakashi after that one time, but it had been worth it. And here, it would probably be much easier to sneak up that close since chakra was pretty much nonexistent.

... and Obito couldn't believe that Gai had actually managed to derail his thoughts that far from his confusion about his family and friends. Point to Maito Gai.]

That would not wake him while I am out and he is sleeping in! But if it is something washable... it could be interesting to do. I wonder if I would be able to! ...Then he might draw on me with something that is not washable, though, and I am not certain that I care to risk that.

[Gai was good at many things. Sometimes distractions were among them.]

It is waking him when I am out that I need to figure out!

Still would be funny and teach him not to sleep when you're up and need him to get up, too.

[But as for actually getting Kakashi to wake up...] Have you tried alarm clocks? Get a whole bunch and have them set to go off at the same time. But hide them in different places in the room, so he has to dig for them.

[Okay, this was cheering Obito up a bit more as he thought about it. Just couldn't beat a nice prank.]
