Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

Meister. It's possible that your healing abilities have become related to your Meister Ability.

Is that possible? I thought they were for fighting, and so I was expecting something like one of my combat spells... I'd like to still be able to heal.

What's your ability?

Oh no. There are abilities to protect and heal here.

It's called Calming Wavelength. When I use it on someone, it helps them calm down. It's especially useful against Madness.

[Anders stiffened, taking a step back.]

How does it calm them? Are they still themselves?

Yes they remain themselves. Why do you think it would change someone?

Because that happens in my world. People calmed by taking part of who they are away.

Oh. Well, it doesn't do that.

Good. So it just... what? How does it make them calm, then?

It eases their mind and drives away Madness if it's infecting them.

Just like that? Does it simply help them become calm, or if they lost some of who they were while they were mad does it return to them?

Madness affects what already resides in man, twisting their nightmares and making them worse. It will consume them mentally and leave them without sanity. Calming Wavelength quells these thoughts while banishing the Madness attempting to make them insane. Of course, it can also ease normal troubled minds, helping them think clearly.

So it fixes the damage done. For good, or just while you're casting? I mean, using. Or doing. However it is.

It's only a temporary fix. Man must overcome his nightmares if he wants to defeat Madness entirely.

But if the mind is gone, almost completely... can what you do help, or is it too little, too late?

Well, that hasn't happened before. I guess I would have to knock them out and lay on top of them though.

...Would it come back to them, here? Their mind?

Yes, they can be brought back.

That's... something I can't do. Back home. Bring them back.

Are we still talking about mentally?

Yes. The brother of a friend was lost, his mind gone, after he possessed an artifact for too long. I could only bring him back to himself for a few moments, and then he was lost to the madness.

I'm sorry to hear that.

[He shakes his head. There wasn't anything else to say about it, really.]

Do you know where I could find a medic? I had a question.

Yes. A medic with hands.

[She glanced around] Ah, oh yes, they went to breakfast. They'll be back in a few minutes.

Of course. I work for the clinic, but more in rescue services and therapy.
