Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February March 4th.

Normally, he'd be surprised to see Minato just pop up out of nowhere like that, but with time and his current mood he just came to accept it.

"Lotta people leave somethin' behind. You sayin' I can't look?" Might be a little late to do so, but the poker face was back on as he straightened up.

You do not know how long I agonised over this response.

A closed book, Minato just shrugs.

And that just irritated him further. "We had stuff to do, a'right!? And I'm gonna finish it, damn it!"

Minato tilts his head to the side. "What will you get?"

"Ain't about gettin' anything. Lotta people turned to her for repairs n' stuff, so I'm gonna finish it all up, get 'em sent back somehow. I figure someone as thorough as she is woulda left instructions or names or somethin'."

He ruffled his hair a little in thought. "'s the least I can do. She was my friend."

His expression softens with a faint smile.

"If other people are relying on you, then that's okay." Minato reaches over and pats Kanji on the shoulder. Pat, pat. "But other people are relying on you for different things too, so keep it together."

To think he'd come so far as to be okay with physical contact. He only looked away with the shoulder pat, as Minato had a point. He could finish Cinderella's projects, possibly take on more of his own... but he still had plenty of work to do elsewhere.

How weird to think that people actually relied on him. Kanji didn't know how long it'd take for him to get used to that.

"Tch... it ain't like I'm fallin' apart or somethin'. I'm bummed, but the war's not gonna wait around for me to feel sorry that I didn't say bye to 'em before they left, yeah?"

Minato nods affirmatively and puts his hand back in his pocket. There's an amused look in his eyes. "You should hurry then, Kanji-kun."

Yeah... he definitely couldn't feel sorry. Ling would just laugh if he knew he was feeling like this, Megumi would make fun of him, and Cinderella would wrinkle her nose.

He had an agenda today, and damn it he was going to get it done. Kanji Tatsumi was a busy man! He looked back and brushed himself off.

"I should, right? I got a Shinigami to catch before he holes up and an apartment to scope out!" And with a casual, yet slightly stiff shrug, he turned. Paused.

"Stupid question- you eat curry?"

"I eat anything."

A nod. Definitely a stupid question.

"Right. Tifa n' I got our wires crossed, so we picked up too much. You n' Naoto-kun hold off on dinner tonight, got it?"

"Are you delivering it too?"

Kanji frowned a bit. "I ain'tcher damn delivery boy. You're both comin' over!"

Minato smiles. That was more fun than asking for the venue outright. "We'll be there."

He nodded. You better behave with Tifa, Minato. You'll be watched like a hawk.

"Cool. I'll see you guys later, then."

Naoto will be there; of course Minato won't try anything with Tifa.

He waves Kanji off amiably. "I'll go tell Naoto now."

"Thanks." Well, no use standing around. Kanji headed off to take care of... well, a lot of things.

But he'd take them one step at a time.
