Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 25th.

[This child... Cybele shakes her head and sighed to herself. She wasn't here to teach them to hold hands and make flower crowns with Witches. That's what she tells herself to try and stop herself from grumbling over how strange this child was.

Still, despite her frustration created by uncertainty, Cybele pushed on with only a mild tone of annoyance in her voice.]

Speed of d'em witches wont be makin' a scrap of difference. You may be runnin' for hours, but d'em witches will have you dead before then. It won't be matterin' if moves slower d'an the others'.

Then I guess I'd have to take my chances with my Soul Menace and aim for a vital organ.

[The child's words are spoken grimly. The way Cybele's making it sound, even 'survival' is out of the question.

She pulls out the small knife she'd been storing on her in a swift, efficient motion.]

Professor Stein said it can disrupt someone's soul wavelength. Maybe it would work long enough to let me use this and then escape.

You still be took weak to do any such harm. [Those words were said with a light laugh as she waved off the attempt.

Reaching over to half gesture-half poke her towards the chest, she smirked.]

In time it could be doin' some damage, but you need more d'en them meditation to strength d'at ability of yours. Try doin' d'at now and you might make my sister die of laughter. If you don't be belivin' me, then use d'at meister gift on me.

[In spite of the insult, Hanabi's expression remains deadpan and she stands her ground. She's convinced that the witch likes trying to rile people up, and thus the appropriate response is to stubbornly not react.]

If she's dying of laughter, then she's still distracted enough for me to get away.

[She does pause at the idea of using Soul Menace on Cybele, though.]

Are you sure you want me to, ma'am? Even if I'm weaker than you, it might still hurt.

[She would let her think of that, but unless the witch chose to do it, they wouldn't let anyone escape. Alright, so maybe if she was distracted by something else they might, but that was only if that other thing was more interesting.

Cybele rolled her eyes and gave a snort of laughter at the thought that she would be hurt. Baiting the child, she gestured for her to 'come at her'.]

Make me feel any pain, and you be allowin' to train that ability of yours on me.

[There was no chance of her experiencing anything resembling pain. Not at the level the child was currently at, but if she could feel even anything, Cybele might be even a little impressed.]

All right. Here I go.

[Hanabi gets into stance, and takes a moment to focus her soul wavelength. She's getting better at pulling it off quickly, but if successfully making Cybele feel the hits was what it took to be allowed to train her Meister ability against a witch, she wasn't going to hold back.

The energy pulses within her, and when she moves in to strike at Cybele with it, the attacks come in sharp and rapid-fire, increasing in speed and doubling in number as she goes.

If she could make it sting for Black*Star, who is far stronger and can defend against wavelength attacks, maybe the sharpened energy will at least feel like pin-pricks to Cybele. She is attacking pressure points and forcing energy into them, after all.]

[Cybele waited for the strike to happen. She actually didn't believe that the little Meister could even muster up the barest hint of an attack, but she was willing to humour her.

A single brow rose up when it felt as though there was actually energy gathering within this one.

The strike came in rapid bursts. She felt the static of the energy rolling over her body, the tell-tale sign that this child had actually managed to execute the attack, even if she felt no pain because of it.

To say that she was surprised was an understatement. Cybele hadn't expected even that much, not that she'd admit to even being a little impressed. She'd thought that the whole of Death City was doomed with their lack of true dedication, but maybe that wasn't the same with every one of those pulled to this world.

Slipping the back of her wrist against her hip, she regarded Hanabi with annoyance flicking over her expression.]

That be the best you've got, child? It maybe enough for one of those Kishin Eggs, but you've got a long road to travel to harm a witch.

[Glancing dismissively to the side, she seemed to be thinking something over before she huffed in annoyance.]

You be so pathetic that I take pity on you. [That's her nice way of saying that she'll train you, even if she hadn't felt any pain at all.

With a narrowed glance back, she regarded Hanabi with her sharp gaze.] You might make a witch back off, one day, but that day be far ahead of you.

[ooc: Hanabi! Stop making her have the feels! She doesn't want to like you, but you're making that hard T3T but yeah, she surprised Cybele enough that she'd 'grudgingly' continue to train her xD ]

[It's times like this that Hanabi is glad for her training. Her father is a proud person with high standards, far more prone to criticism than to praise. It helps Hanabi's own pride weather the Witch's insults to read the underlying message.]

Thank you, ma'am. I'll work hard.

[Her offer of thanks were only returned with a grunt before she was waving the child away dismissively.] Be gone with ya already.
