Description: Every morning in the city, Morning Training takes place to prepare the guests of the city for the war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on February 25th.

Okay. I'm curious to see how much stronger a Deathscythe is compared to a normal Weapon.

True enough. I grew up here, you know. I know all the places here like the back of my hand. Want to walk around some time?

[But! There's that, and in a second Spirit goes from human form to Deathscythe form, all simple black blade gleaming dully in the sunlight. There's a wave of power at first, which Spirit cuts down immediately to match wavelengths with her for better resonance.] There we go.

Sure, Mr. Albarn. I'd like that. I know the Financial and Service district pretty well because that's where I do my Watch patrols, but it would be good to learn my way around the rest of the city better.

[That powerful wave is jarring, but it does give her a good sense of just how different a Deathscythe is from the other Weapons she's resonated with before. She pushes her wavelength out to meet Spirit's and tries to adapt to his wavelength as best she can. Ever since Professor Stein explained how to self-resonate, she's gotten better at adapting to others. She still needs work, but she's doing well for a Guest.

Once their wavelengths are matched as well as a Deathscythe's can match a one-star Meister's, Hanabi works on adjusting her stance to something suitable for wielding a scythe. Swords are the largest she's accustomed to. The young ninja takes a few practice swings while figuring out the correct stance. She's fairly certain Tenten would know exactly what to do, here. Since she doesn't, she glances at Spirit for some guidance.]

[She IS doing pretty well, and Spirit adjusts to her until they reach an easily sustained resonance. He hasn't resonated with a child in a while, but he knows that Hanabi's soul is stronger than most her age.

Spirit waits for her to finish trying him out, before grinning to himself and providing the guidance she needs -- not in words, but in prods and pulls of soul wavelength. This is something weapons can do and what Spirit does well: enhance their meisters' knowledge and movement when using their particular weapon form.]

[Sometimes, it's nice to have a little encouragement. It's different than her father's stern approach. While she appreciates the sterner instruction method for skills she's been refining for years, having a more encouraging adult guide her is good for something she's unfamiliar with.

The non-verbal instructions are received as Hanabi moves toward a training dummy. Rushing it, she slashes in an upswing.]

[Spirit is nothing if not a veritable bubble of encouragement in fatherly scythe form. Or something. Either way, his wavelength clear says that he approves of the way she handles his weapon form, and he helps her along with his natural expertise.]

Good, good. You have strong arms, don't you?

I can do handstand pushups and I train with Black*Star-sensei sometimes, so I think I'm pretty strong for someone my age.

[She knows she is. Hanabi is the top student in a class full of young ninjas when it comes to hand to hand combat. Then there's the years of training to her father's exacting standards outside of class.

There's a reason the girl thinks Black*Star's training routine is challenging, rather than absolutely insane.]

With Black*Star! I remember that. [since he does hear these things randomly from people] It's pretty good, Black*Star's one of our best. [With the biggest ego, too.]

[Spirit prods her a little for a spin, and sees if he should adjust his size to her. It doesn't seem like she needs it...]

[She raises Spirit up over her head to twirl him around, making sure that there's plenty of space for him to move him around without banging into anything - or worse, anyone.]
