Morning Training

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.

Finding a Partner

[[Despite having a few people he could work with, Bakura had yet to find a partner since Vash had been sent home, something that continued to whittle away at that small bubble of optimism that he kept trying to keep up. Surely he'd find someone this time...]]

[ It's early and warm, but Audrey's in a good mood. She's been just sort of wandering around the Morning Training area, trying to figure the entire thing out, when she spots a slightly familiar face. ]

... Ryou?

[ She smiles as she approaches him. ]

Are you looking for a partner too? I'd have thought you already had one.

[[His smile turns utterly embarrassed at that and he rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.]]

Aaaa-- I had one, a while ago, but he got send home again and I haven't really had much luck finding anyone else... I sort of had bad luck with that sort of thing, I guess...!

[[And he's totally blaming a specific jerk for that, even though the Ring spirit likely had nothing to do with it. The fact that he showed up soon after Vash left and then soon after that, Leo was taken too...

[She tried taking the sticker off several times, just hating that sticky clumping it does to her fur, but they keep putting one on. Oh well, she's just here to see if she can find a Weapon.]

[ Well. It's the first time Matt sees Amaterasu; he has seen aliens, trolls, giant robots, but he never realized a guest that happened to be a guest.

Yet, she is there.

Maybe someone's pet ---- nah, that's stupid.

He approaches carefully - it's not the first time he has been maimed by a wild animal - and a bit awkward ] Hey.

[ should he call her "girl"? Should he say "come here puppy" and give her belly rubs? What if she IS indeed a guest and that is a very rude thing to say?

These are the things that cross Matt's mind, yeah. ]

Tch... that Kazuya truly does intend to make me wait, it seems.

[Overhearing her and seeing her Weapon-tag, he decides to comment.]

It's not good to wait for somebody who's not here, if I may say that.

[Kaede had somehow managed to wander down here by herself. She showed off her tag proudly while walking around the area for a possible partner.]

[When Aqua saw a familiar figure she approached with a smile and a wave.]

[Would you look at all those loons who just stood there, looking hopeful and like something that was ordered but never picked up? Bakura scoffed under his breath as he fastened his own tag while inspecting the crowd.

Figures, figures, oh hey an unfamiliar face, figures again... most of them were the same usual suspects as always. How should he find any Weapon worth using like this?! If they at least would do something.. Having an idea, the Spirit of the Sennen Ring smirked.

Then he pulled an apple out of one of his pockets and took aim.]

Hey! You! Catch!! [If he couldn't find a capable Weapon then he'd at least cause somebody a good headache this way.]

[[Bakura was well aware of his doppelganger's presence at the partner search as well, but was doing his best to pay him no mind.

That was until whomever the spirit had been aiming at ducked and Bakura suddenly found himself stumbling forward as the apple slammed into the back of his head with a thunk. His luck continued to hold as his foot hit an uneven patch of ground and he tumbled forward, landing flat on the ground, face just missing the dirt.

.... What was it about that Ring Spirit and always making his life difficult, even when he wasn't even trying to?]]

[Takuto is more confident than before in this area. It's like he's actually adjusting to the idea that Aion is gone and he really should find another partner that could--well, no one could really replace Aion, but he should probably find a sword that could pair well with Yuugi.

It seems like there's a lot of unfamiliar weapons here. Maybe there will be one that can help this dazzling youth figure out how to properly use his meister ability?]

[She'll get back to first aid classes soon, but she wanted to come by and see if she could find a partner. It wasn't as though she was going to go on missions as often because of a Meister, but having one would be best in case of another invasion. Still, who would want a ribbon?]

[He was not exactly sure what sort of partner he was looking for still. He had resonated with a couple of people. He was curious to see who was out there looking for one. When he saw Rosalia, he walked over to her.]

[ Matt isn't sure he wants a permanent partner.

Well, actually, he sort of does, considering that way it would be easier to go on missions and level up. But he knows it'll be difficult for him to be close to anyone.

Still, he is there. He can't pussy out and he does want to get better.

He keeps a cigarette on his lips, not really sure on what to do exactly but just stand there and watch everyone else around him. ]

[It could be difficult to spot Giroro in the crowd, so he made it a point to stand off to a side. He has a name tag attached to the belt he wears across his body.

He may look a little surly, but he's actually not in a bad mood today! Honest!]

[Aranea, meanwhile, is sitting politely on the bench looking at people that come near. She's not being especially abrasive, or even looking to find a meister too strongly! She mostly seems content to watch and see how the events unfold.

Though her eyes do perk up whenever anybody else looks like they might approach her.]

[ Demona is here to find someone to resonate with. Beware, she is a bit... angry.

[Ah, another red-head, conveniently, another red head who spends about as much time as Sarah does being angry, maybe more. They have spoken once or twice, suggested resonating a single time which Sarah declined because of her injuries.

She's back though, relatively healed and she approaches the gargoyle with a a mild interest.]
