Morning Training

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.

[Something brushes against said triggers, but remains invisible.] Oh! There? [Because honestly, what is a trigger?]

Yeah, there's two. For now, you can fire whichever, only normal bullets will come out.

Try it out if you want, but be careful not to aim towards someone or yourself.

You know the shooting range? Those metal things they are using - those are guns. Inside a gun there are bullets, which you use to shoot.

Oh yes. They're like my magatama beads. You don't have the same smell though.

I'm going to assume that's a good thing.

But yeah, bullets. One bullet can kill a person, so careful where you point me.

Oh, I don't know how to feel about that.

[Still, she'll trot over to the shooting range, maintaining a good 'grip' on Matt.]

Just like every weapon. It's just faster.

[ really, how do you even keep him there, Ammy ]

As long as you're turned towards a demon.

[Might want to take a gander at the soul he's actually resonating with. She stops right at the range, staring at a distant target.]

That too. But in my world, the only demons were actual people.

[ he sees the target. Okay, time to resonate. Matt focus, though for this, it doesn't really need that much concentration nor a big level of resonance. But if they resonate well enough, they can unlock Matt's ability. ]

I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that for now.

[Amaterasu continues staring as she 'raises' Matt. She squares her shoulder and drops her head, getting into an attack position and also allowing a clear shot. She focuses on their resonance, taking aim.]

[ Try getting shot over 50 times because you are trying to capture a megalomaniac mass murder who kills people with a supernatural notebook and believes he is purifying the world, of which he will become god. ]

[ Matt readies himself for the shooting]

Press the trigger. Any of them.

[motherofthesun]

[No, she's good after the lasers, missiles, explosions, and other things demons try using on her.]

[Amaterasu nods and 'presses' one of the triggers.]

[ but there are no demons in Matt's world. The only demons (not in the literal sense) are only humans, like he said. ]

[ the moment she presses the trigger, several red bullets (like Matt's soul) are shot, hitting the target. He controls the amount, at least he tries to, and tries to keep resonance. ]

[motherofthesun]

[Oh humans...]

[Amaterasu blinks. Huh, several; interesting. She would fire again, but she glances back at him] Is everything alright?

Yeah, give me a moment-. [ everytime Matt resonates with someone new, he sort of freaks out a bit. He has proximity issues, sort of; and connecting souls isn't easy for him.

But he manges, eventually. And once he does, this seems to be a lot easier than he made it out to be, at first ]

Okay, I'm good.

And apparently, you can shoot a gun, after all. I tip my hat to you.

[Concern, she allows her Meister Ability to pulse, creating a more calming aura.]

Yes. It's much easier than I thought it would be.

[ Oh.

That's rather nice. Matt relaxes a bit, allowed the resonating to become even stronger. If only every Meister were capable of doing that. ]

So it means we can try out my Weapon ability. Portals.

Portals? What will they do?

A portal is essentially two connected gateways, which allow an object entering one gateway to leave via the other.

I shoot two different gateways, that connect, forming a Portal.

[motherofthesun]

Oh, how interesting! We can give it a try.

[ he focus harder. Well, not that hard, because this is easier than with most people.

As resonance strengthens, Matt becomes a bit lighter and focus on his weapon ability ]

Go ahead, shoot.

[motherofthesun]

[She nods and looks around. Well, it would be a little weird to shoot a portal out there... and if someone shot at it, that would be bad.]

[She decides trying to shoot at the ground just a few feet from her.]

[ good choice. Matt honestly wouldn't care.

On the ground, a blue portal appears, yet still closed. ] That's the blue trigger you pressed. The orange trigger will open the orange gateway and open the portal. If you press the blue trigger again, the blue gateway will disappear and reappear at the new target.

[ Amaterasu is free to try it, if she wishes to. ]

Shoot the orange portal far away, just for more effect.

[motherofthesun]

[Amaterasu moves closer to the portal and sniffs at it. Oh how odd it looks... and if she makes an Orange one, they connect? Huh.]

[Well, she takes aim at a tree and shoots the orange portal, looking back at the blue one.]
