Morning Training

Time: 6am to 9am
Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.

[ Oh, it has been a while indeed. Recognizing Sarah, Demona tilts her head a bit amused ]

I would rather call myself "selective". It's a good trait, I believe,

I imagine you are in the same situation as me, for you to be here.

[She snorts at the word choice, sizing the other woman up with a careful eye. They shared more than a few personality quirks as far as she could tell.]

You wouldn't want to try out someone unworthy.

[She glanced around before shrugging.] I was in the area, but still in the same position, yes. I have no use for trigger-happy nit-wits who think nothing but how their weapon will compare to the greatness of certain parts of their anatomy.

[ while (apparently) human, Sarah might be one of those few Demona doesn't particularly fully dislike. They personalities fit, after all. ]

I am familiar with some of those. [ unfortunately ] Gladly, I care not for anatomy, but rather power.

[ the gargoyle offers the woman a smile ] We did agree on trying to resonate someday, did we not? Would you like to try it?

There is definitely a place for wanting power, I agree. How are we to survive here against Kishin Eggs without having something worthwhile happen in a partnership.

[She sizes Demona up and then chuckles softly. They did agree after all.] Yes, I think that we should. Best way to get to know someone is an attempt at resonance.

[She steps closer and begins to shift to her weapon form, curious to see how two strong-headed women will resonate in the first place. Didn't opposites attract or some stupid thing?]

That's what they incite us to do, anyway. [ reaching the last level, eating souls to become stronger. Why do deny they don't want more power, when it's something everyone desires, one way or another?

And when Sarah turns, the gargoyle holds on to her. A riffle, like she had mentioned. demona does love guns. ] Nice weapon form.

[It has been awhile since she has had time to resonate with someone new, and it is quite different. Like a heavy unconscious battle of wills and the dislike of the other very easily picked up by the likes of her who is more sensitive to mental undercurrents.

She also guards herself from giving too much away, but it seems to be good enough. No doubt she could be fired.]

Of course it is. I don't let just anyone handle it either.

[ Demona guards herself as much she can without affecting resonance too much. After resonating with several different people and even having one partner, she learned how to do so.

It's a necessity.

Once the resonance between the two is established, Demona relaxes slightly, if only out of being glad for not suffering soul rejection.

The female gargoyle readies Sarah in her hands; she would like to try it ] Shall we see what we can do?

[Once they seem to get through the initial alignment, it's not that bad. It doesn't make her heavy nor does she have the urge to immediately transform back. Not yet at least. This is as soon as she usually gets with some.

She doesn't protest being made for the ready. May as well see how this goes all the way.]

It would be pointless not to. No aiming at the humans I like.

Only the ones you like? [ Demona teases, but she means in in a way.

Still, she heads towards the shooting range, and there she sets Sarah and points towards the target. Once she is sure she will aim right, Demona presses the trigger ]

I could care little for the ones I don't. No skin off my nose if they happen to get in the way of a stray bullet. [She's really only protective of the ones she likes. People she doesn't know generally goes in the 'does not like' category first too.

Sarah doesn't mind being carried around, and she settles into their resonance a little more when Demona begins to aim and the fire. Her Weapon form fires easily and their aim is true to the target as well. So this creature has some true aim, huh? She likes that.]

You're not so bad. I do like a lack of hesitation for a target, yet still have enough self-control not to make a fool of yourself.

I like the way you think.

[ makes everything so much easier.

And once the bullets hit the target, Demona seems to relax a bit more, allowing Sarah to feel her (through the resonance) satisfied with the result. ]

I have used many kind of weapons, before. I do prefer guns, though.

Odd hearing that come from you.

[She eases off in the resonance when they are successful, and she is pleased more than words she's willing to say about it. So much unsuccessful attempts in her time here.]

I know two of them. I believe there are two more beyond it. I can cloak my meister from sight for a time, and I can fire a more powerful bullet that is sure to hit so long as the one firing can follow a beam of light.

Odd? I rarely find anyone who thinks that way, around here. It's always refreshing when I do.

[ Demona aims Sarah again ] Interesting. You are quite useful in battle, I'm sure.

[ and again, she presses to fire towards the target ]

[She might be a rifle, but her smirk is rather obvious through resonance.] I would be embarrassed to be anything less than useful...

[Sarah doesn't have to compensate much to make their aim true as Demona is good with a gun. That pleases her immensely.] You're not just blowing smoke when you say you're prefer them either.

Mostly because I hardly have a reason to compliment.

[ Demona is pleased, that is very obvious. With this, perhaps they could take missions - she does want to show Shibusen she is aiding them like a good girl.

besides, things are so incredibly boring lately. Going on missions definitively would spice up her day ] Considered we resonated well, would you like to try a mission?

I can agree to that. There are few things worthwhile around.

[So they were both pleased with the progress of things, even if it is rather new and requiring considerable nurturing on both of their parts. Sarah wonders if it will last the test of time.

She hums at the offer for a mission. It has been a long time since she has left the city.] I can't disagree with the chance to head out to kill something. I can agree to it.

[She made the shift back quickly and effectively, dusting her hands onto her pants as if they might still have gun residue on them.]

The beginning of May would preferable. It will allow me to clear my schedule. Is that agreeable?
