Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on April 24th.

Are you a thing or a Weapon?

I am both - in this place, what thou might call a Weapon, but my origins are as a tsukumogami of the obi.

So you're a really old sash, basically. [Despite his way of saying it it's a question. He doubts that sashs make for good weapons.]

Hmph, I suppose thou mayest put it that way.

How do you fight with that?

In a variety of ways. Mine form can be used to create a variety of weaves, imitating various weapons and shapes, such as drills, spears or shields. I am quite the versatile weapon.

So it's basically everything you want it to be? Heh... I can see how that'd make for a splendid Weapon.

[He smirks and offers her his hand.]

Well then, I'm Bakura, Ring Spirit and a Meister. Shall we test how compatible we are?

Mine name is Kiriha, tsukumogami of the obi.

[She takes his hand, shaking lightly]

What be a Ring Spirit?

[He gives her a slightly confused look at the shake - that wasn't what he had been meaning for - but returns the gesture quickly and confidently enough without letting go of her hand at the end.]

Me. I was a human once, but that was a long time ago. Now I'm the soul that inhabits the Sennen Ring, guarding it, its bearer and its fellow treasure while I strive to make up for what I didn't get to do when I was still alive. [Such a nice way of putting it.]

Ho... so thou art a spirit bound to an object. I'm surprised one such as thee might be a meister and not a weapon.

[She looks down at the hand still holding hers. Um...]

Well, one could say that I always had a rather practical personality.

Are you not going to transform?

Oh, is that what thou wast waiting for? Then I shall!

[There's a poof of smoke as she disappears and is replaced by an obi, wrapping around his forearm easily with some length hanging off.]

[He catches it in an odd motion, a bit as if he were expecting to raise something like a blade that was attached to his lower arm.

Looking at his arm and feeling the softness of the fabric, he smiles.]

Nice pattern and touch. Seems like you're a piece of quality. But can you withstand to resonate with me? [The question is asked lightly and with only the barest ounce of a mocking undertone, but the concern about it is real. Bakura knows that his soul neither an easy nor a pleasant match. Shrewd, torn and twisted, it was a lot like a blade with a bloody history that called out to whoever got close to it to touch and maybe even use it again.]

Ho? I think you'll find I'm quite tough, despite any appearances.

[Of course, that said, she wouldn't necessarily enjoy it. As compatibilities went, they weren't particularly of affinity.]

[The compatibility rate alone isn't of particular concern to Bakura. As long as he would be able to use the it the spirit isn't going to let go of any weapon he gets his fingers on go which makes him an unexpected partner candidate for many weapons who don't mind getting into the ratio of negative resonances to reach their goal.

Since he hasn't been outright rejected yet he lets his wavelength slowly increase. Once it gets close enough she might be able to pick up a faint sense of loss and hurt that was tempered into a hard as steel resolve as well as a strong taint of something evil that is not quite human and doesn't completely fit in with the rest of his soul.]

[It was a bit strange, feeling that resonance slowly build. It was a bit different from her bond with Kazuya, something that was immeasurable but real. That and the feelings she was getting... if she'd still been in human form, she might have flinched a bit as it started to increase.]

[Noticing her uneasiness, he chuckles.]

Still thinking you can bear me?

[After a few more seconds, she disengages, uncurling from his arm and returning to her human form]

[It's uncomfortable and she doesn't really feel like they get on well... but if it were life and death, sure. Otherwise? This just isn't working.]

[He lets her go and gives his lightly charred arm a short look before shrugging it off.]

Heh. You are lucky that we are in this world, I'd say. I think I would have killed you just now if we were back in mine.

That be a threat?

A statement. The Ring I'm bound to burns the bodies and souls it doesn't deem worthy.

Personally I find it refreshing to have a bit more choice than that now.

Hmph. Quite the violent object thou plays host to.

The opposite is the case. I'm just a little extra the object holds in spare for its owner.

[He shrugs his shoulders.] Our host would agree with you, though.

Hmph... all the more dangerous that thou thinkest that way.
