Description: Training takes place every morning in the park to prepare the guests of the city for the ongoing war. It's handwaved most days, but approximately once a month this gets played out in a log. This log takes place on May 18th.

There is a lot we need to learn now that we've arrived here. I've had to adapt Jyuuken and remaster the Byakugan in a different form.. Something you should ideally adapt to, as well. It's not very field-effective if my Weapon is nauseous every time I scope the field.

I do have help, and there's still the General Hospital, but considering everything that happened, some of the doctors there aren't being very considerate to injured Guests. I can suture and I've seen operations before, but I still can't perform surgery if someone needs it.

Oh, Raiden! [FRAAAAND but no it's good to see someone familiar.] I guess a little bit; I'm looking for a particular kind of weapon. Do you know what a naginata is?

Hmm... [Lee scratches at his cheek, considering.]

Then perhaps we should work more on that. It is not something that I will get used to just after a few missions, so perhaps if we took some time outside of work?

[He glances around the field.] The two of us are much too busy during training to take out the time for that here.

[aw yeah he just hit iron man. there's something inherently awesome about that, even if he doesn't know it. so he at least abandons the stealth half of the game, dropping out of a nearby tree with a laugh.]

Did they stop playing dodgeball after grade school where you came from? 'Cause that sounds like a pretty deprived childhood to me.

[Another nod, Neji glances off to the far side of the field]

I work 12 hour days now at the office in addition, but there's time in the evening before we sleep.

[Lee nods in return, a small smile creeping onto his face.]

Sounds like that will be the best time. When did you wish to being this training?

[By the sound of Lee's voice, he was quite eager to begin as soon as possible.]

Bakura burst into a gale of genuine laughter as he caught the bottle out of the air without much effort and then proceeded to clutch it together with his hands as he held his stomach.

"Ha haha hey! I didn't tell you to do anything of that.." His protest was cut short because he was snickering again. Taking another look at her chest, then her face and then right back at her chest again, the ancient spirit dissolved into laughter as if a dam had just broken.

"Man, I sure wish we'd have had policewomen who used that sort of tactics to fight crime back when I was still alive!"

[Looking back toward Lee, detecting those notes of eagerness in his voice, he's glad they had that spar even if he had lost. Things would be easy for them again]

Then we'll start this evening when I return home.

[Again, a nod, and Amaterasu watches as Anri changing into her katana form. Interesting that it's so specific.]

[Curiously, she steps closer, sniffing the blade first. Inspection done, she sets aside the training sword and slowly shifts Anri onto her back.]

I shall have dinner ready for us, then!

[Neji seemed to like his fried rice. He could make that.]

Then we shall get started.

[Ah right, food. He'd be hungry by the time he finished work]

Fair enough. We'll do that, then.

[Seeing Valentine, Neji moves to approach her]

Valentine, I hope you're adjusting well.

[He hesitated. She had a point, but...]

Uh, well... When you're feelin' well enough for a mission, I'm your man! But let's not push it when we do, yeah?

[A shadow looms over Dave for several minutes, waiting to see if it would wake him. Failing that, Neji crouches down to grasp his shoulder]

[I SEE MY FRANSS!!]

Well, yeah I do. I seem to recall Naginata's being used a lot during the old samurai days.

That spear you're holding similar to it, but it won't quite do the same thing.

Do you think we can alter the blade on it so it has more of a battle hook?

There's probably a few missions remaining that are ranked low. We'll just take one of them.

[She'll get that soon enough, and then it'll just prompt a lot of idle little touches to get him used to it.]

Why do you think I only use them in emergencies most of the time? I wouldn't wish being hit by my arrows accidentally on anyone. Even if most monsters wouldn't notice...

[She's speaking from experience there. She does blink down at him at the mention of organs, and then quirks an eyebrow at him.]

Really? I wouldn't have guessed... [Wait, what are her hands doing? Why is his shirt moving--?] ...with how much of a stick you are!

[Impromptu tickle fight is go, I guess.]

[ Swords weren't that common here, he kept forgetting that. ]

Takes a little getting used to. I've been using one since I was a kid. [ He shrugged, but smiled. ] You used to something else? [ Now that he thought about it, she looked like a normal girl, kinda like Ange... ]

[Not offense, but Valentine does have to look down a bit. She hadn't expected him to be shorter than her, but most people are. He's still a kid, hm?]

I am. The training session seems lax though.

[He's not offended, accustomed to hold the gazes of those taller and older than him. Her chest gets in the way a bit, so he prefers a side approach.

His hands spread in a mild shrug]

Everyone's working to adjust to their new limitations and abilities. It's unfortunate, but not everyone here has a history of intensive training.

"Quit laughing at me!" Yako grumbled, glaring even as her blush deepened. "And I'm not a policewoman, I'm a detective. A private investigator!" Which wasn't his point, really, it if she thought about what he was implying she would never be able to calm down.

"Such a jerk." She huffed and dropped her arms, marching over to prod him in the chest. A not-so-small part of her was relieved that she had unintentionally managed to raise his spirits (no pun intended) but the rest of her was flustered and offended, the way she had been in middle school the first time a boy had flipped her skirt.

[It's a curious feeling, being lifted by Amaterasu - it's curious enough when it's another person but this is rather different and there's part of her that wishes she had some way to hold on even as she knows she doesn't need it.

She waits for Amaterasu's lead, then, nowhere near assured enough of her own skills to try and take charge.]

'No need!'

[[There's again the glow and the die zips out of Joshua's hold, growing and shifting until solidifying to Bakura once more.]]

[Okay, there's nothing she can do about that...]

No, I suppose not. A shame really to become so reliant on abilities unique to one plane.
